Nif test level
1. WHAT IS THIS:
Ingame area to display a collection of NIF files, to examine how they function ingame for test and modding reuse.
Level 1 - particle NIF files
Level 2 - meshes/properties/controller NIF files
Level 3 - nitextureeffect, nilight NIF files
2. Install:
1. Extract the .rar in Data Files
2. Enable niftest.esp
2. How to enter area:
Teleport to the level from a portal placed in Balmora Mages Guild.
Or alternatively, in command prompt type "coc @niftest_1"
(area works in OpenMW too, only some nifs don't yet)
3. Required tools:
1. Download Nifskope2 dev7
2. Replace Nifskope's nif.xml file: To view these NIF files, it is required to replace this nif.xml file with the original one in Nifskope install folder!
(This is Greatness7's nif.xml file made specifically for Morrowind NIFs, but reverted some changes, so some useful nifskope features/render won't break for casual modding)
- For blender users, get Blender NIF plugin : https://blender-morrowind.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
- For MWSE modders users, get LiveMeshEdit script : from here , or here

4. How to reuse assets:
-Crop to branch : Easy to reuse these NIF files, just open them in Nifskope, right click on Node4->Block->Crop To Branch.
It'll remove the outer parts of the NIF that was needed to put them in the test level (marker box and some settings)
All meshes are stored in folder: Meshes\@_NIF
All textures are stored in folder: Textures\@_NIF
