    Thank you for this! It works in the current OpenMW (0.49.0). I can't tell you how long I've been spending on getting grass in this game. I was following all the mods instructions on their page, but only just found out MGE XE doesn't work with OpenMW. Then I saw your comment about adding a line of code to the .cfg file and that led me down the right path. For those of y'all wondering, it was openmw.cfg in my /user/user/documents/mygames/openMW and then opening the openmw.cfg and adding the line of code "groundcover=Rebirth Grass.omwaddon" underneath the "no-sound=0" line. Also adding the .omwaddon to the data files and then turning it on in the OpenMW list when you run it. Boom, worked.

    Hello, it seems that whenever i try to load in this mod the engine is unable to find the fort frostmoth cell, is there any possible way to fix this?

      Huh I have no idea what's causing that? Do you mean the grass for that cell or the entire cell is missing?

      So I know Im late, but Im putting this here for anyone coming across this error. If you're seeing this it's because you didnt run MGE first

    Im a noob and dont understand how to install this;

    generate with MGE or add them to your openmw.cfg like so -  Like how? whats MGE? whats openmwg? how do I add a the omwaddon file to openmwf?
     groundcover=Rebirth Grass.omwaddon - where do I type this?
    You can rename .omwaddon to a .esp if you're not using openmw. - If I do this where do I put the file? do I need to enable it in files?

    Sorry but i just wanna play the game and dont know much about modding....

      Okay so basically to use grass you either have to use the MGE or be using OpenMorrowind. I use Openmw myself so can help there but haven't used MGE in a long time so wouldn't be of much help there.

      I have no idea tbh mate, I am almost finished with my playthrough and am thinking of starting again but updating to the latest rebirth so I'll probably release an update for that when I do. I don't have an ETA though.

    Okay so I weird bug with openmw. I installed the mod as you described and kept getting weird yellow grass, the grass was there, it was like it wasn't loading the correct green textures or something. So after testing everything I could think of the last thing I tried fixed this issue. Instead of adding the mod through the openmw.cfg I just loaded the Rebirth Grass.omwaddon through the openmw launcher and now my grass has the correct green textures instead of the sickly yellow textures. I hope this helps someone somewhere down the line. I spent probably a good hour or more trying to figure this one out.

    Hi, so if I get it right we will delete all the groundcover options from aesthesia and leave only yours right?

      Just use my .omwaddon files you can rename them .esp if needed, you still need to download aesthesia for the textures and meshes, just don't use their .esp files.

      [5:40 PM] It should work fine with 6.3 too, pretty sure of it.
      [5:41 PM] Only area that had some extensive rework was the area near the ghostgate shrine.

      So I from what he said there may be clipping around the ghostgate shrine. If you do try it and explore that area let me know, I'm currently between playthroughs so haven't checked myself. Should be an easy fix its not to much clipping though.

    Thanks for all the posts guys. Tbh I only created this for my playthrough of morrowind and thought I'd share, I've since completed that playthrough and until I play again I won't be releasing a new version, obviously rebirth being what it is and receiving awesome updates quite often it does make grass mods obsolete quite quickly so until I update to the latest version of rebirth for my next playthrough this is all there will be from me. Also thanks asto01 I'll be sure to use those when/If I generate for a later patch.

      Hi. I was just wondering if you have any tips how to create a patch like this for another grass mod.

      I'd like to make Remiros Groundcover compatible, but I am pretty lost with the mw mesh generator tool. Since you used that, maybe you know some of the pitfalls, etc.

      I generated some plugins for Rebirth, but the grass is still floating all over the place, so I'm doing something wrong. (using Remiros .ini files)

      Edit: Alright. My mistake was that I have created the plugins using Morrowind.esm and Morrowind Rebirth.esp. I only needed to select the Rebirth plugin for creation.

    This looks very good, any plan to make a verison of this for old MW? Some of us haven't made that leap. Also does it work on 6.1 which was released a few days ago?

    Yeah, I downloaded this for my Rebirth 6.0, tried three methods of installing, got floating grass BAD on each. Around the coastal areas was fine, but as you walk further inland you go through grass tunnels, lol. Any suggestions?
    I'm an experienced modder so, I'll understand most methods if you have any.

      Are you using openmw or oldwind? if openmw you probably already know you don't activate the ESP's you need to activate them in the openmw.cfg like so
      no-sound=0
      groundcover=Grass1.omwaddon
      groundcover=Grass2.omwaddon
      groundcover=Grass3.omwaddon
      fallback-archive=Morrowind.bsa
      fallback-archive=Tribunal.bsa
      fallback-archive=Bloodmoon.bsa

      I've traveled quiet extensively across Morrowind and found 0 grass tunnels. Are you only using my 3 .omwaddon and no others along with just the meshes and textures from the Aesthesia Groundcover - grass mod?

      I haven't tested with mge so maybe its not compatible with it? I honestly couldn't tell you but either way make sure to rename the .omwaddons to .esp if you're not using openmw and make sure you're using rebirth 6.0, no doubt you probably know but thought I make sure.

      PHEW! Nevermind, I just read the description again and it says

      "You can rename .omwaddon to a .esp if you're not using openmw."

      So THANK YOU for that!
