About this mod
Bthanchend is a large Dwemer city that connects all the Dwemer ruins under red mountain into one city. This allows players to get to any Dwemer ruin within Red Mountain without going back outside. The city is named after the last Dwemer ruin within Red Mountain not controlled by Dagoth Ur.

Would you like to see the aftermath of the battle of Red Mountain and see the spot where the Dwemer king died all those years ago?
Want a new way to assault Red Mountain and steal the profane tools, without wandering around Red Mountain in the constant storm?
Interested in a prototype Aetherium forge where you can forge new armour and items?
Now you can do all these.
Bthanchend is a vast lost Dwemer city under Red Mountain that I made for my ‘Dwemer Return’ mod and recreated here as a lore friendly
stand alone mod, to enhance Red Mountain.
It connects all of the vanilla Dwemer ruins on Red Mountain to create a unified Dwemer city.
The city is cut off from the Sixth House bases and has been defended by centurions since the Dwemer
disappeared, giving the opportunity for the player to be the first to explore it.
The cave-ins that keep Dagoth Ur’s forts separate from the rest of the city can be cleared with
a well-placed Dwemer satchel charge so that you can go anywhere
(there are satchel charges in the city to find).
There is also a prototype Aetherium forge hidden somewhere in the ruins that can create new
armour and items. You will need to defeat the forge master and gather Aetherium crystal to create items.
Aetherium crystal can be found randomly in mines across Vvardenfell.
The city is littered with the remnants of the fight between Nerevar, his bodyguard, the few city defenders and the citizens of Bthanchend, just
before the Dwemer disappeared. The fight was short and brutal with the Dwemer disappearing during the battle. Although the Dwemer were gone their centurions retook the city and the city was lost to time.
Bthanchend gives you the choice of not going over the top of Red Mountain to get to the profane tools and Dagoth Ur, and instead pens a
route through Bthanchend and the evil within. However, the Dwemer centurions with the aid of a Dwemer Litch, hold the city from all who
would dare try to pass through.
I created this city for my first mod, Dwemer return https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/48953, where you can play as a Dwemer and the city is rebuilt over the story line, however I wanted to have the city as a ruin for a lore friendly game.
Finally, I would like to say thank you to the creators of the mods that I used the assets from to create this mod.
