1. Description

This mod overhauls Morrowind's voice files to make characters' speech sound deeper and more appealing.

Included in this package are changes to the voices of thirteen out of the twenty playable races, all the Daedric Princes (excluding Hircine), and three unique NPCs (Almalexia, Dagoth Ur, and the door of Hrothmund's Barrow).

Now characters who share voice actors, such as the female Altmer/Breton and the male Argonian/Khajiit will sound more distinct and the voices of the Daderic Princes will possess more echo when they're spoken to at their shrines giving them a more menacing effect.

All files have been edited and exported with Audacity, view the ReadMe document for the exact details on the changes I've made to the voice files.

Be sure that you've read this full page before you download any of the files. Feedback is appreciated.

Below are two videos that showcase this mod's new voices, with the first video displaying those of the playable races and the second showing the Daedric Princes and important NPCs.

2. Installation

Manually drop the files in your "Data Files" folder.

Make sure you remember to backup the original sound files.

3. Voice Changes

A total of thirteen out of the twenty playable race voices' have been altered

- Female Altmer have deeper voices

- Male Argonians have deeper voices

- Male Bosmer have deeper voices

- Male Bretons have deeper voices

- Imperial voices are deeper

- Male Khajiit have higher voices

- Nord voices are deeper

- Orc voices are deeper

- Redguard voices are deeper

4. Vivec and Yagrum Voice Plugins

Optional plugins that add voices to Vivec and Yagrum Bagarn are available with this mod.

If the VOV voice files are used Vivec's voice will remain unchanged but Yagarn Bagarn's voice will be modified to sound deeper.

5. Editing your own Voice Files

If you want to edit your own voice files read the "How to Edit Morrowind Voice Files" document that's included in the main package for instructions.

An important note to remember about Morrowind's audio files is that certain races do not have all their voice files located in their individual folder, for example, the majority of the Dunmer's files are located in the "d" folder but a portion of the male Dunmer audio files are also located in the "Misc" folder (such as Jiub's dialogue at the intro of the game).

All voice acted dialogue that does not belong to any of the playable races (i.e. Dagoth Ur) is located in this folder as well.

So to make the editing process simpler for those who want to adjust their own files, I've included optional packages containing all of the unedited audio files from the "Misc" folder which have all been placed in appropriately named folders of the playable race, Daderic Prince, or unique NPC that they pertain to.
