About this mod

Ever wonder how the Dunmer drove vampirism to near-extinction from Vvardenfell? An experimental gameplay tweak that makes the great outdoors quite a bit more inhospitable for resting vampires.

Welcome! This is a short dev-cycle release for the 15th of May (and perhaps this week's theme), but I had a bit of fun learning and putting the idea to paper.

Forewarning: I haven't extensively tested this with a developed character, so this'll probably get some tweaks as we go along.

As a gameplay mod, I added some custom NPCs/weapons/clothing (vanilla assets), took wholesale inspiration from Tribunal's dark brotherhood attacks that everyone loves, and put them where I thought they would also make sense - Dunmer don't mess around when it comes to necromancy, and vampires are no exception. Now there's a very likely chance as your power (character level) grows, resting in the middle of the outdoors at night (or during the day, for the daywalkers) will be interrupted by one or a few friendly folk that want to introduce you to the business end of their stakes. The hunters' power curve goes from fledgling townsfolk that found a few pieces of armor and a silver knife to slightly busted battle-hardened warriors, or in game terms, beginning Morrowind to about the beginning of Tribunal. I'm still interested in adding tougher hunters, but also know that Morrowind is well... you know. So I'm looking forward to hearing suggestions!

As always, feedback is appreciated!
