Hey, I've been using the mod for quite some time now and it works really well together with Seph's HUD Customizer, but recently I added Hotkeys Extended and I was wondering: would it be possible to add extra number of visible hotbars? Base number is 1 for default one but ability to add say up to 8 extra would be fantastic. Cheers!
Everything works as intended, there's nothing to complain about except one thing: every time I load the game the QuickKeys Hotbar displays a wrong (empty) bar row and I have to change it every time to the main bar row with a right arrow key '->'. How can I fix it permanently?
Thanks! Also it would be very helpful if a hotkey hint would be displayed near the hotkey icon, so that just by looking at the Quickkeys Hotbar we would know what hotkey we should press in order to use the desired item/spell/etc.
That's because you are using Hotkeys Extended and this mod doesn't display the main bar when loading the game because it is not assigned correctly. The nine quick bars that come with Hotkeys Extended are represented by the numbers 1-9 in this mod, but [1] does not correspond to the main bar. It's difficult to decide what the "correct" way to scroll through them should be, but the main bar should definitely be at 1.
Also, even though they are ordered somewhat randomly, the arrow keys actually cycle through the numbers 1-9 in reverse, that means Left Arrow increases the number while Right Arrow decreases it.
Hi. I am using the latest version of your mod and the latest version of Hotkeys Extended. And yet they are not compatible. And I don't have the required quick keys. How to fix it?
I seem to have the same issue that the (semi)compatibility doesn't seem to work. Maybe because I load up the game through MO2, instead of having all the MWSE mods in the data files folder?
Hi, so apparently some other MWSE mods can interfere and break the compatibility between the two. In my load order, I found two such mods:
- Version 1.0 of Poison Crafting. If no other mods interfere, updating to 2.1 solves the issue - Time Flies
I have no idea why these mods conflict or, in the case of Time Flies, how this could be solved, but with one of these active, nothing happened when I pressed the arrow keys and no quick items were displayed in the bar, even when I put one in every category in Hotkeys Extended. Fortunately, Time Flies is easily dispensable.
I don't use Time Flies and was on the latest version of Poison Crafting. After deactivating Poison Crafting completely, the stuff I placed in the hotkeys extended menu's still didn't show in the hotbar. Well I guess I'll just go with the bar for now. With a new playthrough there is not a lot I need to bind just now.
But I also don't see the Hotkeys extended compatibility button on/off. So I bet it has something to do with how MO2 loads up the MWSE mods and that the mod can't find it in the data files/mwse/virnetch folder.
[EDIT]I narrowed it down by disabling my MWSE mods. Turning of Sounds of Souls made the compatibility button for Quickkeys hotbar->hotkeys extended visible in the mod config. I don't get why that mod conflicts with this one..[/EDIT]
i don't use MO2 and still have these problems when "hotkeys extended" is active. hotkey bar shows up but doesn't refresh/change when switching weapons for example. without 'hotkeys extendes' everything seems to work
Yes, I have no idea why the two mods I found would conflict, either, especially Time Flies, but anyway. It proves that different MWSE mods can conflict with each other, if nothing else. Maybe you should also report this on the other mod's page.
Double check Left Arrow and Right Arrow to navigate the multiple quick key bars supported by Hotkeys Extended and check if the UI updates correctly. When I had this issue, I think it was due to my quick keys being setup on the 2nd bar in Hotkeys Extended, which then made me think that the hotkey UI bar wasn't showing anything. For the mod author, it might be a good idea on loading the game to check for the first bar that actually has quick keys assigned and display that by default.
I'll try to update my mod soon hopefully since it can be done a lot cleaner with some more recent changes to MWSE. Might try to add some kind of compatibility for this mod as well.
Hi. Thanks a lot for the mod. I'm used the last version of June, just downloaded, because I wanted to add that great rectangle around the Quickkeys. But it seems I have not choice to select it in Mod Config. I have to do something special?

I'll look into it

Seph's customizer allows you to place the Hotbar wherever you want. Check the "mods" tab in Seph's MCM

Sorry, that option is unfortunately no longer available, it was causing too much bugs (unability to click in your inventory, etc)
