Awesome mod! Is there a way to show scroll effect icons in the hud too? That would be really cool...

Does this mod improve sorting and finding things, or is it just visual?

I really need something that has Inventory management like

All      Weapons     Armour    Clothing   Magick    Food & Drink    Alchemy    Potions      Misc

    That sort of thing.

    Cheers!

Request: a black outline to numbers on stacked items. Nothing more annoying than misunderstanding how many of something I have because the white blurs into the item...

    Excellent mod!

One request though, it would be nice if the simple potion icons were a little sharper and higher resolution. I have a bit of trouble telling the restore health and restore attribute icons apart, otherwise 10/10 mod though.

Thanks, the default simple icons are the same that Morrowind uses for everything else in your installation. You could try a graphical replacer for those if they are an issue. You can also increase the icon size of those icons in the mod config menu. If that does not help I suggest increasing your UI Scale inside MGE XE. Not much I can do there, sorry! There's only so many pixels I can work with here.

I might just make the size of the whole item tiles configurable with the next update. Itll take a bit of time though.

How about changing the Icon and/or the background color for the class of items [Fortify, Health type, Resist, Destructive, etc]. This would reduce the search for the particular item.

on a side note, Can you make something like this for TES 4?

Ill try to think of something once I get back to modding Morrowind. Currently playing some Elden Ring in my free time instead.
As for TES4: I won't do it, sorry!

Sorry, but that won't be happening due to OpenMW not supporting MWSE. It's lua integration is also in a fairly early state. That would mean making and supporting 2 completely different versions of the mod. I also do not use OpenMW which means I would have to at least double my testing time. That is not to say that it's OpenMW's fault, but as long as we are talking about lua mods it will most likely always be one or the other version.

    Updated to version 1.2.0:

    • Cleaned up mod config menu.
    • Added ability to configure size and position of effect icons.
    • Added ability to change the style of effect icons to a more detailed one.

Thanks for adding the option to customize effect icons :). This is especially useful for managing an inventory full of potions and/or scrolls; before, i had to slightly squint my eyes to distinguish between them.

      Cheers!

Your mod output has been impressive! I love the addition of icons here to make it easy to see which item is which at a glance.

Does the spell icon overlay on the items change with spell icon replacer mods? What about 'enchanted item icon' replacers?

Spell icon replacer mods should work without issues as long as they replace the textures normally and don't do various hacks to reach that result.
As for "Enchanted item icon" replacers: If you are talking about replacers for the "blue swirl" thing then that is completely optional. You can use any replacer with it, just make sure you disable the "Hide vanilla decorators for equipped/magic items?" option inside item decorator since that explicitly hides these graphics.

Simply put: Texture replacers should work without issues.
