I was walking in a thunderstorm weather, and I noticed that the clouds rotated as I moved my camera, which caused a weird effect.

Does anyone can confirm that and have a solution ?

Thanks ! Nice mod by the way !

That's how it's set up, for better or worse.

Clouds are visible through trees. Is there a way to make it look normal? On the screenshot it looks like some kind of smoke but in reality it's just clouds in the sky visible through trees

You might want to check MCP for an alpha fix, or there might be an issue with the trees meshes themselves. This is not how it looks on my end.

EDIT: That's MOP I'm thinking about, check the comments below

Thank you for the reply. But I've installed MOP and I think it's not much better

If it's the only solution, I think it's probably because I've installed your mod on Myar Aranath total conversion mod. Maybe these trees were edited by SureAI and have non-vanilla textures/models and there's no fix for them. Either way, your mod is great, I'll continue to use it. Most of the time these glitches are not very noticeable

Are the clouds supposed to turn towards you like a Doom sprite while you walk around them, or is that something messed up on my end? Because I personally think that's super immersion breaking, even if it does look good in screenshots :/

That’s how it’s done, yes. Anything else would fry your PC.

Any idea why the transparency is acting funky with vapourmist active?

    Left Off/ Right On

I don't have any shaders activated and have also no other graphic mods installed. The only other mod with shaders is "joy of painting". "Distant lights" is also activated but deactivating it resulted in the same behaviour.

Ok, I fixed this by using Morrowind Optimization Patch .
This will fix the transparency issues with some textures.

Truly beautiful work on this mod, what a gorgeous way for me to return to MGE/MWSE mods. Thankyou.

Very immersive but the fog disappears when I'm in water. I'm using Vulkan with 3 MGE shaders: Underwater (Interior) Effects and Depth of Field.

Yeah that’s expected. Fog looks pretty bad underwater :)

Not underwater. I mean it disappears above water when I'm swimming on the surface.

That’s underwater in game logic, unfortunately.

Would it be possible to add a slider or option to push back the rendering of the fog planes?  I absolutely adore the effect in the distance but I don't think they need to render so close to the player.  Often I walk through the fog planes which produces a slightly jarring transition.  Also I tend to see them clipping through statics up close.  It'd be much less intrusive if they faded away before I can physically reach them.

That's not possible for now, sorry. The 'plane' is just one huge particle NIF. If I get back to deploying individual meshes the FPS will go down the gutter. Pretty sure I don't have too much rendering control in the particle system itself, unfortunately.

One nifty trick is to not use SSAO

From description: "the shader does not need to be enabled in MGE XE"

It will enable and sort itself on its own. Don't enable it in the MGE XE GUI at all.

I dont add shader list of active shaders in MGE XE, but in game the shader automatically turns on. Do I need to turn it off while in game?

It’s controlled via a lua script. You don’t need to do anything!
