I don't know if the Vortex manager is installing it wrong but it doesn't seem to be working on my end. Tried manual download but I couldn't wrap my head around it, anyone else having the same issue?
For some reason it's not appearing at all in my load order list on the launcher. I'm just super confused because I went into the steam files and all the meshes/textures are there but it just won't appear in the load order. I only really know something wasn't right because I tend to play as a Khajiit a lot and both male and female weren't modified at all
Thank you for making the best face replacer mod for Morrowind. Unfortunately I'm having some issues with it.
1. Male Khajiit head 1 seems to have a black diamond on top of his head. 2. Female Altmer hair 2 and 3 seem to have black triangles where the front mid hair mesh meets head mesh. 3. The horns of Celegorn in Sadrith Mora also appear to be black. 3. All Redguard male heads have double ears. One as a texture on the head, the other as a 3D model on the hair mesh.
I'm on OpenMW and using hideous AI upscaled MET texture map with parallax maps. I tried the same textures with Facelift but didn't notice the same problems. Well, apart from Redguard double ear problem, which was less noticeable. Is there a way fix those issues?
Great mod, but I found couple issues with it: bad uv mapping on dark elf female ears - it looks like dirt on the ears. Also I got weird lighting problems with one dark elf male and one orc male hair mesh in OpenMW - ears looked very dark. I've investigated this issue and found that it was caused by ambient color field in material property - setting it to 1.0 fixed problem.
I made fix for these issues - you can incorporate it in your mod if you want.
Almost missing out the latest update because I didn't like the faces from previous version, but now it is even better than Facelift in term of staying faithful to vanilla faces (Facelift was great, but the author did take liberties with some of the faces).
I think the hairs are not quite there yet though, some of them just seem like an entirely new hairstyle rather than an improvement. Though I can't blame you because I can imagine how nightmarish it is to work through all of it (and that most of vanilla hairstyles don't really make sense).

I agree lmao. Sometimes if the face was really fucked I tried to match what was on the texture, rather than the mesh. As far as I remember. They really did redguards dirty. They did everyone dirty.
I have a lot of respect for Caleb, because he keep refining his work, and also working on the hair, which is 1000x worse than the heads somehow. Seriously some of them are so bad I don't blame him from nuking them from orbit.
Don't be too harsh on yourself Kartoffels, you are still the queen! For what it's worth, I'm still using your hair meshes testing from Face Upscaled Textures over Caleb's. It's subjective that none have managed to "fix" the vanilla hair and make a sense out of its abysmal UV as well as you did (Vanilla-flavoured Hair is also not very good, it even made some of the hairs look more nonsensical, sorry tewlwolow)
Any future chance for a seamless but still purist friendly body like this one? (that mod looks abandoned, could have made a fantastic baseline body bundled with Familiar Faces)
It would require texture editing, which I am unfamiliar with. I have greatly expanded my 3D skills recently with some Half-Life mods, so I could definitely do the 3D stuff, but I'm total s#*! at textures. Also, whoops, probably shouldn't have made the body's textures mirrored, I probably just applied a mirror modifier and forgot to unmirror the textures. I can address that in the next update.
Just a heads up: The recent update of Tamriel Data has replaced the vanilla body meshes for its races (Maormer, Chimeri-Quey, Reachmen, etc.) with the improved body meshes from Familiar Faces where possible. Tamriel Rebuilt has accordingly added Familiar Faces to its list of recommended mods as well.
These are looking very nice and true to original aesthetics. Many replacers and reworks are changing the looks completely, especially for Mer races, to look like humans, which is nonsense in my book. Elves are not just slender humans with pointy ears. They should have different anatomy. Not to mention Orcs.
I'm looking forward to further updates. Great work!

I hope you will continue working on these!

Any chance for the tattoo mod compatibility?
