Just a simple mesh (at least I think it's simple) with vertex colours modelled after a Roman pilum (plural pila,) a type of weighty javelin carried into battle by Roman soldiers. Given the quasi-Roman aesthetic Imperials have in Morrowind, it could be a fitting addition to the world!

The mesh doesn't use new textures, so it will be affected by replacers. There's also an icon.

Remember, this is just a .nif resource & an icon to accompany it. This will not add any content to Morrowind itself.
---

A pilum's principal use was to be thrown at enemy formations prior to a charge. A pilum's long shaft, pyramidal head and butt spike made removing it take up precious time on the battlefield, or outright force a shield's owner to abandon it. With the penetrative power each one had, you could also end up skewering and wounding (or worse) an opposing warrior hiding behind a shield formation.

One historical debate concerns the long metal shaft each pilum has - some believe it was crafted with deliberately weaker iron to promote bending, so that the enemy couldn't throw it back again. There is at least one record of pila being used as melee weapons, in the Commentarii de Bello Gallico, by Julius Caesar.

---

With that then, this mesh is suitable for both use as a melee spear and a throwing weapon, perhaps erring toward higher weight and lower item health.

Also, because of Morrowind's thrown weapon animation (in that it's set up for small stuff like shuriken and daggers) the pilum's wind up will look a little odd. Still, when in flight, it repositions itself and looks fine!
