Note if updating mid-game! If you have already gained the manor (entered inside), updating will cause issues. Downgrade and use the version 0.2.1 until you start a new game, or follow the re-installation guide.

Special thanks to Denina for continuous testing and proof reading of the mod!

This mod adds a purchaseable manor to the end of the cape, between Ebonheart and Vivec.

This mod was inspired by the Bagel's Luxurious Manor and took many inspirations from it, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted so, here's mine.

I made quite a few custom assets for this mod (carpets, pans, oven, bath tub, washing board, wood cutter axe, paintings, flower vases, table doileys etc.), thus the file size.

How to get it:

- First, either talk to the guards patrolling outside the manor, or go knock on the door.

- Then go talk to Duke Vedam Dren, who resides in Ebonheart's Grand Council Chambers.

- The Duke will sell the manor to you, if you have at least 12 reputation. This can be achieved for an example, completing the mages guild quest line. The duke will sell it cheaper if you have REALLY high reputation.

Manor Upgrades:

Talk to Jeeves about managing the manor and he will give you new topics regarding purchasing paintings, inviting guests, fixing the bath (that also heals injuries) etc.

The manor (can) includes mannequins, display tables, 200 gold income per week, trainers, merchant that buys any useless gear, a library etc.

NOTE!

The library does not contain unique or skill books! You do not need to worry about getting unwanted advantages, the manor has very few "note worthy" items etc. This is so to not take away from the best parts of Morrowind, which is collecting.

The mannequins utilize Robert's Better Bodies, or more specifically, the extended ones. The mannequins are nude, so, avert your eyes, this is an "adult mod".

Recommended mods:

Perfect Placement This is essential to be able to place paintings on walls, and books shelves.

Expanded Robert's Bodies The mannequins may cause clipping without matching body types.

Glow in the Dahrk For pretty interior and exterior window lighting.

Using with TR (Tamriel Rebuilt) and MGE XE:

I play exclusively WITH TR enabled, grass ground cover enable etc. So the only compatibility advice I can give, is to put this plugin lower on the load order, and DO NOT FORGET TO BUILD DISTANT LAND MASSES WITH THIS PLUGIN ENABLED!

How to re-install / upgrade Mid play through:
Spoiler:
Show

  •  First, move all the gear you want to keep, from the house to another location, preferably into containers (so that unique items added by this mod won't perma increase your carry weight. A bug with Morrowind, not present in later games (Oblivion ->) anymore.)
  • Remove all Mark -spell location from pointing into the house locations.
  • Open console and type in the following lines:

    set aaadaycounter1 to 0
    set aaaguest to 0
    set aaaguest2 to 0
    set aaaguest3 to 0
    set aaadisplays to 0
    set aaapaintings to 0
    set aaabathfixed to 0
    set aaaownshouse to 0
  • Save the game
  • Uninstall the previous version.
  • Load the game, click ok to error messages.
  • Save the game.
  • Re-install the mod (new version).

    Done.
  • (optional) Open up console and type:

    player->additem "Gold_001" x

(replace the x with the amount of gold you used to to upgrade/buy the house.)
