About this mod
House in Caldera with connection to the Mages Guild and Silt Strider lighthouse close-by. Vanilla friendly additions to get Caldera on par with other cities in the game in terms of accessibility.

Caldera has always featured very convenient services that I've always ended up gravitating towards in various playthroughs: from Creeper to the Guild's teleportation services through the Master Index. It, however, has always lagged behind other player hubs such as Balmora due to lack of space and travel access; exactly what this mod seeks to improve.
Introducing Nilthog's Manor as a purchasable player house in Caldera, with a direct connection to the Mages Guild tower and a front door leading to the main street and center of town.
Furthermore, a Silt Strider station has been added besides the south entrance that provides travel to Balmora, Khuul, Suran and Gnisis. However, other stations have not been modified: it is an exit-only strider port.
The Manor features:
- Mayor storage containers and surfaces
- A stone entryway with a lockable door to recieve your guests
- Lower floor kitchen and dining room in one
- Upper floor study and bedroom with plenty of bookshelves and space for relaxation
- Traditional imperial tower with a balcony to oversee town
- Tower Passageway connecting directly to the Mages Guild
- Different buying options for different income levels:
- Pay 12000 upfront
- Befriend the Hlaalu sellers and get a discount
- Do a job for the Mages guild and have them help you pay
- Be Arch-mage and get a letter of credit
- Stealthily break into the Manor and find the spare key
Travel Options:
With its vanilla features plus this mod Caldera becomes the ideal city to place your Mark spell
- Almsivi intervention to get to Balmora
- Divine intervention to Buckmorth fort in Ald'ruhn
- Mages guild teleportation for Vivec and Sadrith Mora
- Master Propylon index from the official plugin to get to any Dunmer Stronghold ( eleven in total )
- Silt Strider for Khuul, Suran and Gnisis
Extras:
- Ernand Thierry, the breton in the guild, now allows you to make custom spells as there was no one in all Caldera that did this
- Odairan Ashummi-Ammus' House has been slightly moved back to allow passage from the main plaza to the southern alley
- A couple of rumours about the manor to help you start the purchase
- The Guild of Mages has had added a door in the second floor near the teleport that connects it with the tower
For those that want to know where the name comes from: it references Nilthog's Hollow, the name of the location of Caldera in the second era before the city was founded, as seen in ESO.
Have fun! The file contains a simple guide on quick manual installation.
