I don't know about you, but I think that one of the best vanilla player homes is Vorar Helas' house. The owner is a douche anyway, whom 10/10 would kill during the quest associated with him. In addition, his house is next to Caius' place (and three other Blades agents also live in the vicinity) so one can pretend that it is lodging provided for your character's service and a better option than just using the beds of Blades agents.
However, the place doesn't really have a lot of storage, which I aimed to fix with this mod and make his house more functional for the player. This mod adds a very small basement to the house, with a small skooma (alchemy) lab which Helas probably used for making his illegal substances that he distributed among the people of Balmora. The basement also has a bookshelf, six chests and a closet. I think that such a hidden basement is not only perfect for a drug dealer, but also for a secret agent of the Emperor. A simple but practical addition.
A trapdoor is added to the original house, which leads you into the basement. Since it's such an unobtrusive solution, this mod is most likely compatible with any other mod. It has been tested and confirmed to be compatible with Balmora Redecorated ( https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42580 ) by Lucevar. The trapdoor can be opened with Vorar Helas' vanilla key, which he carries on his person.
The mod has been cleaned, and zero bugs have been encountered during the testing process.
