I actually use OpenMW, rarely use vanilla with mwse so I am not sure if I would understand how to implement something akin to that.
I do have on my to do list (which is not expected anytime soon), making proper icons for it so you can see visually what each scarf is and exploring adding them as neck options on the armors themselves. This would allow wearing a helmet with them outside of some clipping from the scarf mesh.
I currently have all the extra required mods installed for the option textures, but I'm still getting solid white textures on most of the scarves, particularly the telvanni and dust adept ones. Is there a trick to installing this in a way that makes it recognize where those textures are placed? I use MO2 if that helps
Did you ever figure this out? I'm also still getting white textures and error messages, also crashing on a few of the scarves. I've got every required mod downloaded and loaded before this mod.
Sorry I am terribly lazy in maintaining my mods, can you give me an example scarf to look into if you're still interested in using this? I should also point out that I use OpenMW and Vortex with my mods.
Also, if I did create an issue, I want to apologize as my goal is not to create strife but enhance enjoyment of Morrowind. Most of this I made for my own characters and just figured I'd share it so others can enjoy it.
Edit: if you're still interested, I uploaded a new version. Apparently Morrowind (the original) does not like when textures are placed in folders using relative paths. So it doesn't like say mycloths/hats/texture1.dds but wants textures/myclothes/hats/texture1.dds. I remade any nif I found with this so maybe that will fix it.
The universe is weird, i've been tinkering with those same scarf meshes recently making a set of recolours. I also found a quick paintshop method for redoing the icons to at least match the colour, if you need any i could throw them together for you.
It seems to take the 'neck' slot which does get swallowed up by most (all?) helmets. I fiddled around with it a lot in the CK because sadly it removes the tail from a Ohmes-raht Khajiit race mod that I use. None of the other locations seemed to work but I'm not a modder.
Wow! I am absolutely blown away by how good these are. I didn't expect such a new mod to be so fantastic but they mesh with so many outfits and are a fantastic justification for not wearing a helmet. Thank you so much for sharing it on the Nexus, I feel like this will literally be on my mod list forever.
For the clarity of anyone reading - Hannabi Zabynatus, one of the stall merchants in Gnisis sells them, two of each and they all seem to be unique textures.
All credit to Axeljk, he made the mesh and it goes really well with so many textures. Unfortunately the engine limitations prevents mixing with a helmet.
