I love the idea for this mod, but the maps being tooltips tend to get in the way of seeing all the options and picking them from the travel list. I would 100% use this mod if it was just the tooltip for "Travel" that showed Vvardenfell. Could you add that as an option, please? There's no way to turn off the tooltips for individual locations without disabling the mod.
It's unfortunate that Vvardenfell map tooltip and travel destination tooltips share the same UI scale option. I'd like to keep destination tooltips small, so that they appear below my mouse pointer, but at the same time I'd also prefer to see a large Vvardenfell map, so that it's readable. edit: I've fixed it by decreasing the scale divider in createTravelMap function from 100 to 50: local scale=config.scale/50
The only thing that bothers me is that all the travel routes on the maps are in the same color and it's hard to distinct one from another, at least for me. It's just a whole mess IMHO. It would be much better if you make travel routes for caravaneers, shipmasters, guild guides and gondoliers in different colors, it would be better even for the colorblinds. For example as it's usually implemented for different lines in subway/underground maps in real world.
This is a sick mod! Is there a DIY way to remove the images in the tooltip and only keep the text? I tried nuking the textures folder of the mod but doing that made the text in the tooltip disappear as well.
Hello! Thanks for this mod! I'm trying to configure it for Russian localization, but renaming folders and locations in the config does not work. Maybe you have any tips on how to solve this problem?
Are you trying to translate the mod into Russian? Then you need to translate any English text that appears in the game with the mod inside the appropriate *.lua files. In particular look for the English text in quoted marks inside 'MWSE\mods\tew\Travel Tooltips\data.lua' ('this.descriptionTable' block only) and 'MWSE\mods\tew\Travel Tooltips\mcm.lua' files ('label =' blocks only).
In Russian: Ты пытаешься перевести мод на русский? Тогда тебе необходимо перевести весь английский текст, который мод добавляет в игру, в соответствующих файлах *.lua. В частности ищи английский текст в кавычках в файлах 'MWSE\mods\tew\Travel Tooltips\data.lua' (только текст в блоке 'this.descriptionTable') и 'MWSE\mods\tew\Travel Tooltips\mcm.lua' (только текст в блоках 'label =').
The problem is a little different. The tooltip does not appear when hovering over a destination in the travel menu. I think this is due to the fact that in the Russian localization the cities are called differently (Вивек instead of Vivec, Балмора instead of Balmora and so on). But changing the names in the config (["Balmora"]=ttmPath.. ->["Балмора"]=ttmPath.. and so on) does not work. This should work for adding new locations, judging by the mod's readme, but for some reason it does not work with location names in Russian localization.
Ah, now I recall that I stumbled across the same issue in the Russian version of the game years ago, with other English mods, of course. That's why I ditched it long ago (and also because of the awful Russian translation as always) and use the English version only.
Sorry, but I can't help you with it. Guess you should ask about it some experienced modders in the Russian Morrowind communities instead. Try 'Fullrest' for example.
I am all for providing a necessary framework for translation, but as far as I know the Russian version differs considerably from the English one. If the wizards of Fullrest have any advice, I'll be happy to dissect the mod to use i18n and automagically make the mod use the correct version - if that's even possible in that case. I'll just need a Russian-language version of one file with all the names laid out.
I am working on a small update - I will keep that in mind to try and make the mod use the editorName associated with the cell, which might be consistent across language setups.
Mod is not functioning correctly. Maybe it's because of MGE XE. Every other mod is disabled. Hovering over 'travel' reveals a map, but no maps appear for the cities.
