That's because you should be using the cleaned/patched versions of the official plugins.

oh, well i heard they weren't very compatible with all the other new content going about, i thought there were significant compatibility issues, is this a rumour?

Compatibility is going to be a case-by-case basis for every load order. But UMOPP doesn't force you to use a merged plugin. Each official plugin is still separate and can be left unused if you don't want it or it has compatibility issues with any of your mods. It's just a single download for convenience.

oh thank goodness... more modders need to understand the connection between modular and compatible

Unfortunately now that OpenMW is on 0.48 and thus is post-processing capable, Mistify probably isn't needed anymore since the clouds shader can add mist itself.

I'm running OpenMW on my Steamdeck so I'm wondering if this is any more performant than the Cloud shader. Cloud shader looks pretty damn good on my desktop pc, but I have to balance battery life on my deck.

I found cloud shader very nice but rather FPS intensive - I haven't tried out Mistify since I was on Oldwind - so I'll give it a try.

    Fantastic !

I indeed had those strange clipping issue, and even more strangely, only in Rebuilt, never saw them in Vvardenfell…
They felt like related to the mist, above lily pads, but I wasn’t sure. I tried several things to fix it but without success.
Well, this mod did a wonderful job ! Both by solving the issue, but also by bringing more atmosphere ! Excellent !

Thanks much. As for the rest of your work too !

    Amazing mod, as usual.

Ive tested it a couple of times, I clearly lose around 2 fps (from 43 to 41) during a clear day in seyda neen using your mod with the improved vanilla fog meshes. I tend to notice this, because I crank up MGE graphical improvements until the game just barely runs smooth at around 40 fps, so any addtional fps losses become quite noticable.

My question would be wether this actually makes any sense? I expected your mod to only affect nighttime and foggy weather, or does the fog simply turn translucent upon daylight/sunshine?

The fog stops emitting completely during the day, so that is strange. Though I think 2 FPS is still in the realm of variation error. I can't rule out something weird going on though, but I haven't gotten any other similar reports to date.

I know this is 3 years later, but I can corroborate the framerate impact. At night, testing directly with a test save, enabling the mod in Hla Oad has a 30% framerate reduction at night (4-5 in the morning) as compared to having it disabled.

I haven't played Morrowind since like 2016, and I come back to find so many amazing mods since then; I especially love these subtle aesthetic changes, this one is great! ~

Great looking mod but it absolutely does not minimize performance impact. I noted a nearly 30% reduction in framerate when having this mod enabled, such that I was barely above 60fps with a 1070 Ti.

This looks amazing and I'm planning on including it on my next playthrough. Currently I'm on the fence on whether to use the older version of the game or OpenMW and thus looking up the compatibility of mods. Does this Mod require OpenMW to run?

      This does not require OpenMW.

I really like this mod's concept. And mechanically it works great. But it feels like the mist is rendering with like 4 bit color depth?

Is there any comparison shot between vanilla and vanilla mist replacer? I am not completely sure what mist it replaces
