About this mod

Stendarr's Hammer Redux is a very simple mod (and my first) for Morrowind that gives players the opportunity to properly use the fabled Hammer located in the Mournhold Museum.

Why was this made?

I am someone who tries to make their game world as full of immersive possibilities as I can, I like to have the option to do anything with my character(s) whether I use a feature or not. I have never considered to use Stendarr's Hammer, but what if I wanted to?

Well I found out the hammer is more or less a neat little collectible and nothing else in the vanilla game, considering its extremely heavy and fragile, and leads to no practical use! But its very true to how the weapon would be! It's the hammer of a god after all!

From there I decided "What if I wanted to use this? I should be able to if I choose so!". We are the Nervarine after all! And the rest is history.

What does this mod change/add?

This mod is very simple, and it doesn't fundamentally break the hammer down to a simple "cheat" weapon. I modified the hammer only to give it more durability, a bit more than that of a Daedric Warhammer, and increased some of its minimum damage output for chop and slash (again, it's a gods hammer!) with a slight adjustment to its reach.

"But what about its ludicrous carry weight??? A THOUSAND??" - Ah! I have a fix for that too! Next to the Hammer in the museum you will find a note for the staff from the curator, informing her staff of a new relic that goes together with the hammer, a strange ring that has been spotted in the city! Finding this ring may just give you the power to wield the hammer.

UPDATES:

Version 1.1 Changes: The Ring had its value changed from "1 Gold Piece" to "9500 Gold Pieces", this was an oversight, but the original file is still available if you want it that way.

OPTIONAL File - Version B Changes: This is the "B" file, the alternate version. This version makes the Hammer slightly more convenient to use by decreasing the the fatigue drain effect on the Hammer from its "1-20" points to "1-10" points. Additionally, the ring included has been given a new buff which will constantly restore your fatigue from anywhere to "15-20" points. Of course, all you have to do is re-equip it until you get the desired effect.

If you use Version B, that is all you need, you do NOT need the original file.
