Your name should be sung from the heavens for providing upscaled versions of those STANK rebuilt faces. Thank you!

Going through these to make the edits we discussed in DM, I am REALLY impressed, this is easily the best upscale for MW faces I have seen to date. Deserves more attention!

Also amazing how good the results are even on the 4x up-scales found in "Ality" which were based on compressed vanilla textures right? If so, the noise reduction has worked wonders, would be nice to see how it coped with the expansion faces and Tamriel Rebuilt.

      Awuuu Thank you <3

Ality, is face-ality or fatality-faces. It is a version of fatality that was made for faces. I used uncompressed textures. Uncompressed source is always better than decompressed from my experience with upscale.

Noise is always a funny thing to remove, because I have 5 models to denoise specifically for dds, and each upscale model reacts differently from the denoising.
Essentially if you were being really picky, you could have 2 denoise model you try, and 3 different upscaling model you try, and you would end up with 6 different results to look through. Sometimes it is worth it. I did something like that for the flora and landscape in Oblivion Upscale Textures. It was about 6-7 models I tried and looked through in Lightroom.

Ah shame, I thought maybe you’d found a way to deal with the dds compression artifacts which might have meant the TR faces could be fixed. As I believe they started from compressed vanilla textures and then re-compressed as they look noisier than vanilla too me. A while ago I started remaking them with HD vanilla textures but I only got as far as doing most of the Dunmer males. Maybe I’ll ask in their Discord server, see who made them originally and if they can offer any advice on how it was done. Some are not so obviously just mashed together vanilla faces which is where I got thrown off.

Can i use the normals for Westly's Head Replacer in Morrowind without using OpenMW? Can we use normals with MGE XE?

You must rename the ending from "_n" to "_normals" and a have a text file. Also use "MGE XE advanced materials prototype" from https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/26348/?tab=files

      https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45336?tab=posts
      From DassiD:
"I want to clarify about MGE and normals: You need the MGE XE advanced materials prototype(PBR), found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/26348/
All normal maps needs a corresponding text file and have the ending "_normals.dds".
Honestly I think it's a lot of work for little gains considering that type of rendering demands having assets made with PBR in mind from the start.
Ideally MGE should support the same type of mapping that Oblivion, Skyrim, and OpenMW uses, but enable a PBR "flag" for certain assets."

Looking at the preview “before” images I’m wondering, did you start from the uncompressed textures?

What do you mean? Is there a source of uncompressed textures somewhere? *want*

      I extracted BSA textures
Then I remove BC1 noise with a noise model. (I might use a different denoise model if I look at it again)
Then I use model I wanted to try.
I didn't like some of the results, but I thought I'd release it instead of hoarding it. xD

Indeed there is! Only for Morrowind, not its expansions but search Morrowind Uncompressed for the dds versions or message me on here or Discord and I’ll send you png versions if that is easier for you to work with.
