One of the (many) things that annoys me about Morrowind, and Elder Scrolls games in general, is that unique named items that AREN'T semi-divine artifacts tend to be under-powered to the point of useless.  It's not as if giving the player special, one-of-a-kind items with mediocre abilities that are probably weaker than what the player already has on hand - and end up doing nothing more than taking up precious inventory space - is a bad idea or anything.

So enter this mod, my attempt to correct this flaw for many (not all) of the unique items that I felt were the worst offenders.  Despite the name, I attempted to balance the enchantments to make the items useful without going overboard.  Primarily, I enhanced the enchantment that was already there rather than give them an entirely new one.  A few enchantments were changed entirely to be more thematically appropriate.  Multiple versions are available to allow for customization.  See the plugin descriptions for details.

Here is a breakdown of the 25 items that I've edited and their changes:

Clothing and Jewelry:

Adusamsi's Robe: changed from paralyze for 5 sec to 10 sec

Amulet of Ashumanu: changed from restore 5 health for 5 sec to 10 health for 5 sec

Ashkan's Wedding Gift: added an enchantment of sanctuary 25 pts and restore 5 fatigue 5 for 30 sec

Ashlander Nerevarine Items: Madstone of the Ahemmusa changed from sound 50 pts for 20 sec to 75 pts for 30 sec, Teeth of the Urshilaku changed from resist paralysis 10% to 25%, Thong of Zainab changed from detect animal 150 pts for 5 sec to 10 sec, and Seizing of the Erabenimsun changed from telekinesis 50 pts for 30 sec to 50-75 pts for 45 sec

Fathasa's Ring: changed from fire shield 15 pts to 25 pts

Hands of Zenithar: changed fortify luck and personality from +5 to +8

Hortator Items: Belt of the Hortator changed from fortify magicka 20 pts to fortify agility and speed 10 pts, Ring of the Hortator changed from fortify health 8-15 pts for 30 sec to fortify health 30 pts for 30 sec, and Robe of the Hortator changed from fortify magicka 20 pts for 30 sec to fortify intelligence 20 pts

Hort-Ledd's Robe: changed from turn undead from 6-60 pts for 30 sec to 10-60 pts for 30 sec, changed shield from 5 pts for 30 sec to 15 pts

Mara's Clothing: Mara's Blouse changed from resist magicka 10% to 20%, changed Mara's Skirt from fortify health 5 pts to 25 pts

Moon-and-Star Ring: changed from +5 personality and speechcraft up to +10 to +25 (depends on the plugin)

Restoration Shirt: changed from fortify fatigue 1-10 pts for 5 sec to fortify fatigue 10 pts for 30 sec

Ring of Azura: changed from night eye 20 pts and restore fatigue 3 pts to night eye 20 pts, resist magicka 20 pts, and reflect 20 pts

Tailored Trousers: changed from +3 personality to +5

Zenithar's Frock: changed from fortify mercantile 5 pts for 50 sec to 5-10 pts for 60 sec

Weapons and Armor:

Dreugh Cuirass (enchanted): changed from fortify endurance 10 pts for 60 sec to 15 pts for 60 sec

Erur-Dan's Items: Erur-Dan's Cuirass changed from restore health 1-11 pts and restore fatigue 20 pts for 1 sec to restore health 20 pts and restore fatigue 30 pts for 1 sec, Erur-Dan's Spear changed from poison 5-11 pts to 15-20 pts for 5 sec

Felen Maryon's Staves: changed from shock, frost, and fire damage 3-7 pts to 5-15 pts

Hellfire Staff: changed from weakness to fire 0-10 pts for 10 sec and fire damage 4-15 pts in 5 ft to weakness to fire 5-10 pts for 10 sec and fire damage 10-20 pts in 5 feet

Helm of Graff the White: changed from reflect 10% to 20%

Mountain Spirit: changed from shield 10 pts to 20 pts

Racerbeak: changed from poison 3-8 pts and weakness to poison 10 pts for 2 sec to poison 5-10 pts for 5 sec and weakness to poison 10 pts for 5 sec

Shield of the Undaunted: changed from restore fatigue 10-30 pts for 1 sec to 5 sec

Sword of Augustus: changed from drain agility 1-10 pts for 1 sec to drain agility and speed 1-10 pts for 10 sec

Trebonius' Staff: changed from weakness to fire and shock 7-15 pts for 6 sec plus fire and shock damage 7-15 pts in 5 ft to weakness to fire and shock 10-15 pts for 6 sec plus fire and shock damage 15-20 pts in 5 ft

Wind of Ahaz: changed chameleon 5% for 10 sec and blind 10% for 10 sec to chameleon 10% and blind 20% for 10 sec

Incompatibility
============

Will be incompatible with any mods that edit enchantments to unique items.  Should be compatible with most item replacer mods so long as they don't edit these items (Hortator items, Erur-Dan's items, Mara's clothing, Ashkan's Wedding Gift, Adusamsi's Robe, Restoration Shirt, and Shield of the Undaunted).
