Not a bug, so I'm just posting this here in case anyone else is wondering about Morrowind Rebirth compatibility: It is not, strictly speaking, compatible, but also not really incompatible. It does work, but it clips into Caius' house. It's useable, you just end up in a weird little void space when you leave and have to jump on the stairs to get out.
Still using it because I like the idea and it's just the right kind of starter home to have for the budding adventurer/pawn in the Emperor's game :)
Nice little mod, fits well with vanilla, and doesn't break immersion. The only issue is typos in Caius's dialogue, such as uncapitalised "I", use of "to" when it should be "too". Otherwise fine.
Edit: corrections. P.S. if you have More Detailed Places installed, there will be a basket clipping into the door.
I gotta say, I actually really like this mod. I installed it because Caius's house was getting full and I needed more space to store all my items that were too expensive to sell (Daedric, Ebony, Glass, etc.) It's just a small, one-bedroom player home. Just a nice, humble sort of mod that's perfect for a bit of extra storage space. Not trying to be anything more or anything less.
Whoops, sorry i completely forgot all about that as i'm pretty new to Morrowind modding/modding in general. I've cleaned the files and they should be better to use now.
So what happens if I download this after I have spoken to Caius, how do I then get the key? None of the dialogue options show Caius talking about the house and giving me the key. So I can't go into the house if I downloaded this after I have spoken to Caius before? Not really smart, is it. What is another method of getting the key.
You're right it's not smart. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. So what I've done in the mean time while i look for a more immersive option for both new and existing playthroughs, is I've uploaded a standalone version for people like yourself with pre existing playthroughs who can still get access to the player home with no fuss from missing dialog or keys. Alternatively if you would like to carry on here is a console command for the key. player->additem key_balsafehouse 1 Sorry for the inconvenience.
