About this mod

Changes a number of medium armors to heavy armors, and one set of medium armor to light armor. Lore friendly, based on armor weights in later games and the apparent heaviness of the armor in game.

I felt I didn't go far enough with just changing the weights of the Indoril Armor, and decided I would go through and change the weight of a bunch of armors. Why? Because I'm playing a heavy armor Nord, and because I've gone mad with power.

I have reassigned the following medium armors to be heavy armor:
  • Adamantium Armor: It looks like heavy plate to me.
  • Ice Armor: I have renamed this entire set to Stalhrim and changed it to heavy armor. There are both light and heavy variants in Skyrim, but I feel like it makes more sense as heavy armor.
  • Bonemold: Heavy armor in Skyrim. The helmet given to you for the quest Disguise has been renamed to Redoran Disguise Bonemold Helm. Not the most elegant name, but I accidentally threw it on the ground to clear out carryweight, once, and figured it's a decent failsafe, especially if you have other Bonemold gear in your inventory.
  • Helseth's Royal Guard Armor: Also looks like it would be heavy armor to my entirely untrained eyes.
  • Indoril Armors: ALL of them, including the Almalexia variants. The Ordinator uniform tag has also been removed, so you can wear them freely. Please note that if you have been spotted in the armor by Ordinators before installing this mod, the Ordinators will still be hostile to you, even if you strip completely naked. I can't fix that.
I've also included a second, smaller file that changes the following medium armor to be light armor:
  • Imperial Dragonscale: Again, due to Skyrim, where Dragonscale is light armor. It was just bothering me that the Dragonborn's armor, crafted from brand new, fresh dragonscales, would somehow be of shittier weight than armor made from ancient dragonscales.

Right now only one armor has been changed from medium to light. I considered reassigning all the fur armors, but decided I liked the scaling up on those.

Again, this is entirely for my own personal purposes and biases. As someone currently playing a heavy armor user, I wanted to be able to wear the coolest looking sets in the game.

The weights of the armors have been changed by as little as possible to get them to change weight class, and their stats are otherwise unchanged.
