i think i found a way to detect the pc class in openmw already.. so im afraid the patch isnt actually a patch, but generally another way of implementing this idea that works in openmw..
Duplicate pc and disappearing chest bug still exists when running the newest version of Rebirth. Would you mind checking it out and maybe doing a fix? Or tell me what i did wrong. Thanks for your time! An awesome mod I'd really like to use.
Just to be clear, I'm using the standard pre-made classes. Not custom. -edit- I just downloaded mwse and switched to that plug-in. Everything works as intended now. Thanks for a great mod.
It sounds cool ! I usually use custom classes, but maybe that will change, hehe ˆˆ
Now, I just have a question (dunno if it'll be answered given that the latest comments are a few months old, but still). It's not really about your mod, but I noticed that Sellus Gravius tells you that "you are free", instead of saying "you are a free man" on your screenshots. Is it part of a mod ? If yes, which one ?
>Sellus Gravius tells you that "you are free", instead of saying "you are a free man" on your screenshots. Is it part of a mod ? If yes, which one ? That's a Morrowind Patch Project edit which seems to have carried over.
Do you have this bug on OpenMW or regular Morrowind? If the former, then HELL NAW, since it's OpenMW bug and it's their damn job to fix it. If it's the latter, then I'm willing to listen.
Have this bug in the regular Morrowind. Well, what KZad have said - when I'm using a custom class, duplicate of my pc just stands near the door in the office. And after I'm done speaking with Sellus, chest just disappears.
This mod really gives some incentive to play a premade class over custom, and it's nice being given clothes other than the standard prison attire. Kudos.
I can't use custom classes with this. When I click on duties, I just get the normal stuff from the exit guard. The Personal Effects chest disappears and a duplicate of my character with a standard Seyda Neen dialog script is left at the door into the courtyard. In OpenMW, even the regular classes do the same thing.
>In OpenMW, even the regular classes do the same thing. Yep, this mod doesn't work in OpenMW. Nothing I can do here, and honestly it's not my problem - post-1.0 versions will likely have a simple function to determine Player's class, I'll just remake the mod for OpenMW then. >I can't use custom classes with this. Will look into the problem.
Nope, the problem with custom classes was just me screwing up the dialogue conditions for this specific entry. In OpenMW, the whole workaround I've used to determine Player's class just doesn't work.
Really weird then, since it's the same thing happening in both. But I've gotten the idea that scripting in Bethesda games is considered especially strange to people who are used to scripting being strange to begin with.
It's not that weird, same thing happens but for different reasons. For custom classes, the needed voice line doesn't fire because of wrong comditions, in OpenMW they just don't fire at all for all classes because it handles Player voice lines differently for some reason. And cince the voice line doesn't activate, so doesn't the script which immediately disables Player's copy etc.
The normal classes also have this problem when running MorrowindRebirth. The locked chest initially exists, as well as a copy of me, but then when talking to the officer he spins a 180, the chest disappears, and my copycat is still there. If I exit and save I can't load, because of that copy.
My first attempt though, my copycat disappeared and I was able to access the chest. Then I tried to equip the weapon in the chest and the game crashed, but who knows if that was this mod in particular.

I've been waiting for this to show up somewhere :p

Also, getting attacked by a clone of myself is the funniest bug I've ever experienced.
