    This UI mod is very good but the enchanted items without the enchantment texture bothers me a bit. It's possible to activate the texture of the enchanted items in the files or put the vanilla texture?

      Delete "menu_icon_magic.dds", "menu_icon_magic_barter.dds", "menu_icon_magic_equip.dds", "menu_icon_magic_mini.dds", and "menu_icon_select_magic_magic.dds" from the mod's "textures" folder to restore the vanilla swirls or, better yet, you can install Less ugly enchantment menu icon and load it after this mod.

      For the sake of completeness, there is also Enchanted Icon Selection and Enchanting icons as you wish to choose from.

    Great mod, two questions:

    • Any way to get back a visual clue for magic items, e.g. the original whirlwind?
    • Selected option in menus is grey. Can I make it e.g. blue? Why FontColor_color_* do I need to change?

      Are you using the original engine or OpenMW? If the original engine, did you use a modding tool or manually replace the files in your "Data Files" directory?

      Assuming the latter, my guess is that you removed the default splash and/or main menu textures, but didn't correctly replace them with the new ones from the mod. Did you use a different resolution than the default, e.g. optional/textures/menu_morrowind_4x3.dds. If so, be sure to rename them to menu_morrowind.dds, likewise for splash_morrowind.tga.

      Alternatively, perhaps it's something to with the blank .bik files included to skip the Bethesda logo and Morrowind logo videos. You could try replacing mw_logo.bik and 'bethesda logo.bik' with the default videos and see if that solves the issue.

    Hello!

    Firstly I have to say this user interface is gorgeous, I have run into a small problem though. As far as the interface itself everything is working properly in game menus etc etc. My problem is that the title and splash screen's are just solid white and the text is missing on scrolls and journals for the take and turn page etc. other than that its working perfectly and looks amazing.

    I installed the mod manually following the read me file, I am using the disc version of the GOTY Edition with MSGO 3.0 and running at 1400 x 1050 resolution. any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Eek, those are some fairly major issues. Thanks for reporting them. I'm glad you like the bits that work :).

      So, the only thing I can think of currently is that the original engine / Windows might be case sensitive, or only accept the original resolution for certain textures, or a combination of both. (The OpenMW engine is case insensitive, as far as I can tell, at least on my 'nix system.)

      So, I've changed some of the filenames to match the letter case in the vanilla data files (in some cases I had to guess, as I can't peak in to the BSA). I also added additional optional files in vanilla resolution (these should be renamed to remove the suffixes and placed in the main textures folder as before). The changes are included in the new version (1.2).

      I wish I could test it out myself, but I don't have access to Windows. Could you see if the new version fixes any of the problems?

      Cheers.

      OK! Title screen and splash screen work perfectly now! thank you, I am still having the issue with the journal,books and scrolls. to go into more detail I am getting the actual text of the books themselves but in place of the "Next" "Take" "Close" texts I just have small white squares. that is literally the only issue everything else looks and runs perfectly.

      Ok, I found some other texture files for "Next" etc that had strayed away from the vanilla resolution which I've fixed in version 1.3. Hopefully this will clear up the remaining issues, but if not, I'll continue to investigate .

    You can even make your personal favorite color based on your custom ini file.
    I really like this UI replacer when I felt bored with standard UI.

      Hi, thanks. The changes to the bar colours can be avoided by not copying these lines in the ini edits:

      color_health=255,255,255
      color_magic=255,255,255
      color_fatigue=255,255,255

      Or altering them to something more to your style (the numbers are just RGB values). They will still be flat though (no shadows). (Hopefully this is true, I've only tested it out with OpenMW.)

      Hey, I uploaded a new file with some altered ini tweaks that retain colours for the bars (see new screen captures). No pressure to check it out, but it's probably more to most people's tastes .

      excellent, i actually never knew you could customize the colors in the ini yourself.

    This mod looks pretty good, except it looks like it'll be impossible to read dialogue, + Health, Magicka, and Fatigue bars are utterly useless.

      Agreed. The concept is great, but the clash with pure white is extremely heavy on the eyes.

      Hey guys. Cheers for the feedback. The colour scheme is, I admit, totally personal preference, and perhaps less useful for it . The stat bar changes can be bypassed by avoiding these .ini changes:

      color_health=255,255,255
      color_magic=255,255,255
      color_fatigue=255,255,255

      And perhaps the dialogue can be made a little clearer by increasing the opacity of the background in the options, or avoiding all the ini tweaks entirely.
