About this mod

This simple little mod adds The Scrolls of Khartum at random locations around Vvardenfell. They are similar to the learning books, but instead you gain a random attribute (e.g. Strength) if you are lucky. Being unlucky is a little nasty....

Requires Morrowind Only

This mod adds to levelled lists, so you will need to use a levelled list merger to ensure everything works correctly.

The Scrolls of Khartum work in the same way as training books, but instead of skill increasements, the scrolls provide a single stat increasement. The stat is random, the scroll name give's nothing away, but there is a chance (20%) that the scroll will reduce each of your stat's by 1.

A little intro to the scrolls can be found in the bandit cave near Seyda Neen. There is also a scroll there as demostration. I don't think it will be too unbalancing having it there to use.

There are now 116 scrolls placed around various locations in Vvardenfell, but each scroll only has a 15% chance of appearing, so on average you will find 17 scrolls, and each game will be different since they will appear in different locations. Note that some of these scrolls are owned and some may be a little hard to find.

Please be aware that there is a bug which I'm having trouble working around but shouldn't cause drastic problems.

If you have two or more of these scrolls on your possession, equiping them one after the another will cause the game to crash.
There are no problems with picking one up one at a time. I have tested this by having 5 on the ground, picking them up one at a time and equiping them. I have also tested picking them all up and putting them all down again, then equipping them one at a time, no problems there. So saving them for a more oppertune moment won't cause issues.

If you use Galsiahs Character Development mod then you will also need to use the Scrolls of Khartum GCD Patch esp. This ensures that the Scrolls work correctly with GCD.
