v1.25 has been released and fixes additional withdrawal problems. It is unfortunately not compatible with any previous releases, so if you're running WWM 1, 1.1, or 1.2 on an existing save file, you'll have to somehow clean it OR just create a new character.

Please post in the Bugs tab if you run into any issues.

Any chance of an update for the latest TR version?

I don't think it needs one...? As far as I can tell, all it does is add a banker NPC to Bosmora, Indoril Vault. I haven't done too much testing, but it seems to still work fine with the most recent TR version.

Indy bank mod added houses that you could buy. Any chance you'll do the same?

You could always just use this mod as a companion piece, since it's in the same compatibility-friendly spirit of WWM.

Suggestion: also allow vaults to be used as public storage for a small fee (free if you're head of the vault's Great House), since there's so much unsellable loot a player can amass.

Having an issue starting the game. When I start Morrowind and a popup appears saying "Masterfile Missing Tamriel_Data.esm" is this a common thing or did I mess something up? Also using NMM

You probably have WealthWithinMeasure_TR_v1.25 set as an active plugin. If you don't use Tamriel Rebuilt (which requires Tamriel_Data), you need to use only WealthWithinMeasure_v1.25.

This is a wonderful mod, thank you for this. I have an issue (or I don't seem to understand how to use them) with traveler notes. They are just treated as books and the majority of shops won't accept them, and when they do they exchange a sum of gold less than the note value (depending on mercantile and the kind of shop, like any other object). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

They're only accepted at general traders due to game limitations. I'm not aware of any objects that could be sold at all traders, or if there's a way to have all traders accept a certain type of object without modifying the vanilla game further.

If anyone knows a solution to this dilemma, then I'll gladly change the notes.

Indy Bank also had a Letter of Credit feature. There you could exchange them at General merchants and Enchanters for Gold. Maybe you could add an extra dialogue topic that allows you to do the same for Travells Notes to NPCs with a trader tag ?

I think that bug has been fixed in v1.25.

Seems the scripts are acting weird and the Hlaalu banker took all my money

Any idea when 1.1 will drop? I'm looking forward to the improved interest rates. I'd try to tinker myself, but I have the scripting ability of a household grapefruit.

PRELIMINARY REVIEW (as not all functionality has been fully tested yet)

As indicated in the mod description, this mod enables a player to make deposit accounts from which they may withdraw funds and earn interest, buy bonds for ventures in factions they are members of, and take out loans for purchases they may need to make. It integrates seamlessly with the original game, adding for the most part only NPCs and scripts, and adds functionality sorely lacking in vanilla Morrowind that also makes playing with certain mods (i.e. gold weight) more interesting. For example, you may convert gold into the equivalent of traveler's checks to use when carrying too much would otherwise weigh you down. The supported factions at this time are Hlaalu, Redoran, and Telvanni (for which banking transactions may be conducted through a representative in the corresponding treasury/vault on Vvardenfell), an unaffiliated bank in Ebonheart, and a bank for House Indoril in Tamriel Rebuilt (if that version of the mod is downloaded). Banking transactions are handled entirely through dialog with the NPCs added by the mod. The mod is clean and does not appear to contain any dirty references.

At this time, I have only tested transactions using a Telvanni character in the Telvanni Vault, but everything worked well as far as I could tell. However, the full benefits of a mod like this must be measured over time since interest occurs each week and the bond periods are so long, so I will update the review in the unlikely event that problems arise.

Full marks for functionality, originality, seamless integration, and ease of use. The only suggestions I would make are as follows:
    (1) Although I understand why the mod author wanted interest rates for larger accounts to be lower, I personally disagree with the reasons for doing so. Due to the fact that there are so many mods out there now that add money sinks (especially Uvirith's Legacy for Telvanni players), having a passive form of income is very much appreciated. It also takes some of the pressure off having to make income by hunting daedric weapon drops, breaking monotony a bit for high level players. I also think the rates are a tad too low as is, and should be raised, at least if the time period it takes for interest to accrue remains the same. Although the game engine allows it, time spent in an individual game may not be a matter of "game years" for most people, so increasing the rate at which interest occurs, and adjusting the time period, would facilitate reaping this mod's full benefits.
    (2) This would probably be for a ways off future update, but being able to hire a personal banker for one's stronghold would add a level of convenience. The NPC would only need enough "companion" functionality to follow the player to a designated position. After that point, the NPC could be a convenience the player could use to check his account and make deposits and withdrawals, instead of having to visit the vault each time. In exchange for the convenience, the bank could require a payment to be made directly from the player's account. If you really want to be realistic, you can have deposits and withdrawals made through these convenience NPCs take time for delivery (since electronic funds obviously don't exist in Morrowind), and add a random chance that the caravan delivering the deposit or withdrawal gets ambushed on the way there.
    (3) Since the individual house factions all have their own accounts, I feel like there should also be some additional benefit the player has access to by virtue of being head of a house faction. I'm' not sure what form this would take though...will keep brainstorming for suggestions

    Score: 9/10

Thank you for the excellent, in-depth review! I'll be increasing the interest rates in version 1.1 as a lot of people here have pointed out that they're just not viable at the moment.

Adding perks like stronghold liaisons is an excellent idea and I'll certainly look into it; the same goes for possible benefits when one becomes the leader of a House. Please let me know if you come up with any more ideas (specific or general) and I'll be sure to credit you if I can incorporate them into the mod.

Just installed this mod and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. The features/services are really cool and the locations you've chosen are perfect. The only thing that I think could be improved on is the interest rate, it does seem too low. I know you want to avoid creating an overabundance of gold, and I absolutely agree with that sentiment but I think you've taken it a little too far in the other direction. At the moment the interest rate is so low that it really might as well not be there at all. Other than that the mod is great and I haven't experienced any bugs whatsoever.

After thinking about it and seeing the community's input, I agree that the interest rates are too low. Version 1.1 will boost the interest rates significantly.
