Morrowind Mod of the Month - December 2015
Today we have the eighth episode of our Mod of the Month series, celebrating the best mods from December 2015. The idea behind this series is to release a video every month honoring the best mods released in that particular month, as decided by popular vote and also in part by my own personal decisions. You can vote for the Mod of the Month for January 2016 here. Our mod of the month for December 2015 is RR Mod Series - Better Ships and Boats By the Resdayn Revival Team, the latest in the superb lineup of Resdayn Revival mods that have been slowing updating various graphical parts of the game, and Better Ships and Boats continues that tradition with an absolutely fantastic replacement of the models and textures of the ships of Vvardenfell, adding in some really high-quality ships to Morrowind's waters with an eye for a realistic level of detail while maintaining that classic Morrowind charm. It's easy to see why it's our Mod of the Month, and it's definitely a mod worth checking out! Second choice for mod of the month is More Quests By Sophie Kirschner, a mod that aims to add more quests to Morrowind that expand upon the personalities and characters you meet in a lore-friendly manner that blends in fairly well with Morrowind's vanilla quests. Right now these quests only include a handful of characters involving the Wolverine Hall Mage's Guild, but the author has committed to making more quests in the future, and it'll be exciting to see how far this series goes. Finally, our third choice for mod of the month is Stronghold Retexture By Flash3113, a complete retexture of the Dunmer Strongholds of Vvardenfell, providing a high-resolution and lore-friendly replacement for the interior and exterior textures of these famed strongholds, following up on similar texture replacers created by Flash3113 like the Lush Ascadian Isles mod from a few months ago. This is a really high quality texture replacer that aims to improve the Morrowind experience and atmosphere rather than change it, and in my opinion it perfectly accomplishes that goal and is certainly worth a look. The music in this video is from Morrowind Music Overdose by Jon Babb.
