Morrowind Modding 2015 - Year in Review Trailer

In 2015 Morrowind turned 13 years old, yet instead of slowing down, the Morrowind modding community was more active in 2015 than in 2014, releasing over 500 new mods created by hundreds of different modders! From new dungeons to landmasses, quests, and everything in between, 2015 was an extremely active year for the community! And not only that, 2015 saw the release of several major projects, like Lyithdonea - The Azurian Isles and Tamriel Rebuilt's Almalexia, adding countless hours of new content to the game, and projects like ModTown 2015 promise to bring much more in 2016! Even after 13 years, there's still a lot of love being poured into this amazing game!

Since it's that time of year again when everyone begins ranking their favorite things from the past year, I thought I'd join in with a Top Ten Morrowind Mods of 2015 list. Now, to state the obvious this is my personal top ten list of mods from 2015, and these are based solely on mods I've actually played and enjoyed, so your favorite mods from 2015 may be completely different from mine, since there were nearly 500 mods released in the last year and I couldn't possibly play them all.

Morrowind Mod of the Month for May - Nix-Hound Replacer

After much delay, it's time to finally announce the winners of Morrowind May Modathon Month 2015 and the Mod of the Month Awards! As many of you know already, Morrowind May Modathon Month ran throughout the entire month of May with 15 mods submitted for the competition by 14 different modders.

Our panel of judges spent much of the last month going through and rating each one on a 10-point scale, keeping the scores as fair and impartial as possible. With a panel of five judges, the highest maximum score was 50 out of 50.

We're pleased to announce that Morrowind Modathon Month 2015 was the MOST successful modding competition in the history of the Morrowind modding community, surpassing even the old Gamer's Roam competitions from 2002~2003 in number of participants, proving once and for all that even after 13 years, nothing is slowing down the Morrowind Modding Community!

Morrowind May Modathon Month - Modding Results

Morrowind Modathon has officially come to a close, with 15 mods submitted for the competition by some 14 authors! As part of this competition, we saw new houses, landmasses, towns, dungeons, quests, and even gameplay features get released for Morrowind! From exciting new lands to explore and discover, to epic stories and lengthy questlines, to houses you could furnish yourself and homes fit for assassins, to massive treasure hunts and new things to find in the world, Morrowind Modathon Month saw a great variety of experiences get released!

Morrowind Modathon - Nix-Hound Replacer

Today we're looking at Nix-Hound Replacer, quite possibly one of the most detailed and vivid imaginings of one of the more common inhabitants of Morrowind's wilderness. Long seen as a strange and alien like beast, the Nix-Hound has been fully realized with this replacer as the peculiar and menacing beast that it is!
