Sadly, I have to agree. While the idea is really good, a light (especially in caves) seems to be just too bright.

It makes some cells unnaturally bright, i.e. Zainsipilu.

Thanks for the info.  I love combining darkness mods with brighter light sources in Skyrim.

If someone comes in the future know that you can use 'Let There be Darkness' which has compatibility with this mod (mwse) and at the same time use 'True Light and Darkness Necro Edit'.

I presume this won't work with OpenMW?

"As things stand, no amount of tweaking .cfg gets OpenMW close to Morrowind lighting. At least with my build of current git master."

I really like this mod mixed with the MGE XE per-pixel lighting option but it still feels like not quite bright enough. Is there a way to make the torches using this mod just a little bit brighter?

I know it's a several year old post...but for new readers, you can adjust your "in game settings" for lighting constant to a lower number...MGE defaults to around .3something when you check PPL, but I find .2 really bangs in the bright of torches (and every other light source in the game....) without completely killing off shadows. However, a little goes a LONG way on this adjustment, so you may find that a nitpicky open/close of the game over and over while you adjust the number by .005 each time is required to "get there" depending on your system.

What torch texture and meshes replacer do you recommend guys?, i installed tons of mods but the torches are still looking ugly, not like in the pics.

This mod only tweaks how the lighting works with torches ect.

You will need to find a better torch replacer mod, as that mod wont touch the lighting effects and just the mesh instead.

Looks like Apel's Fire Retexture, be sure to check nerevar009's comment for instructions on how to fix the flame clipping with the torch, too:

Does anyone know if a light with a 0 time duration is infinite or does it mean the light is dead or off? and what is the difference between a 0 time duration and a -1 duration? I am just wondering why so many lights have those durations.
