Really good mod here, thanks! Though I did personally nerf a lot of the item values as one quick trip to the Ascadian Isles netted me thousands of gold. Decided to turn the different colors into 'tiers' of value with Red/Green being the lowest and then Standard, Purple, Blue, and Gold in order of lower value to higher. I love doing stuff like that. Thanks again!
I have, however, unfortunately discovered a bug while using Graphic Herbalism and Skrawafunda's compatibility patch. I believe the bug is actually a result of the Morrowind Code Patch 2.1. I selected "Shortcut Key Improvements" during the install, which allows the space bar to close open windows.
If I open a Kollop, and close the window with the space bar before looting the Kollop, the pearl disappears. Furthermore, after closing a Kollop with the space bar, no other Kollops will ever contain a pearl on opening. This is also true when opening a Kollop without a pearl, and closing it with the space bar. It also makes no further Kollops contain a pearl.
Is there any possibility of a patch in the future?
Again, great work! Sorry to have to report a bug. :/
Possibly. In all honesty, what would be best would be for me to include Graphic Herbalism in this mod by default so that it could just override what GH does without need of a patch. I'll see if I can find time to do so.
Also, have you checked whether that option in MCP is an issue with other plants in GH? I can't see why it'd single out the Kollops based on Skrawafunda script.
Graphic Herbalism, at least the way it is installed by MGSO, loots the plants without opening a container window. It just has a little popup that says you looted 1 [whatever plant] or that you failed to harvest the plant. Skrawafunda's patch makes the container window open up again for looting Kollops, and then you can select take all.
I don't know how difficult it would be to integrate this into Graphic Herbalism, but it would be awesome if it didn't have to open up the container window and just told you what you successfully harvested or if you failed.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help investigate this!
Thank you for your most pearly of mods! My more lavish characters are always after shiny valuables, and your pearls will certainly be a challenge to gather them all
ZZZ02 brought to my attention that your great mod is not compatible with Graphic Herbalism (since it does things via scripts), so I am taking the liberty of making compatibility patches for that - two for each version of your mod - GH and GH Extra for PE and PE-Coloured Pearls. They will come as additional ESPs so that they won't require updates when you tweak any aspects of the mod that are not pearl types and their spawn chance.
The patches will be available on a separate page, but should you deem your mod page more fitting for them, I will gladly send them to you for keeping
I think this is another one of your mods I played before when it came out at PES, but nevertheless it's a fantastic mod! This and Sri's Alchemy are what keep gathering alchemical ingredients so exciting, years after the release of Morrowind, and since I typically play as an alchemist, I can tell you I really appreciate mods like this that enhance alchemy and pearl-diving so much! Endorsed.
@CLyle From what I've found so far, there's some pearls that are worth only a few drakes, and others that are worth several hundred. So there's both pearls that are worth considerably less than the default pearl's 100 gold and some that are worth considerably more.
I'm thinking of incorporating the black pearl in Rebirth, perhaps as a unique drop accompanied by a short tale or ryhme of sorts (so that players are introduced to the legend of the pearl). You don't happen to know a suitable rhyme or something that would go nicely with such an idea?
