For some reason, the NPCs are not showing up as fences and do not have the 1000 gold.

Do these Fences also reduce the stolen tag from the original owners?

They do not offer that service. They'll simply buy stolen goods.

So thats why I could buy the book from Sottilde. I got to that quest in my new playthru, and since it has been like 15 years I had totally forgot that it can screw up your guild associations. I was all set to implement some console cheats and she just offered the book to me! I've thought it was an improvement by the MCP or something til now. Nice job.

Oh, and the fences all work as intended. They do an excellent job keeping the riff-raff of my lawn!

Such useful fences; keeping my dog from terrorizing the neighbor kids!

      (glad you're enjoying the mod!)

Thank you for another great mod! I really enjoy finding mod authors who have great mods, they work without game interrupting errors (or worse, CTD), they look and work nice, and there are a lot of mods to have fun with!

All 3 Fences worked well and they all bought the moon sugar and skooma that I tried to sell them.

For some reason I was able to buy the code book from Sottilde. It might be because my testing PC doesn't have the associated Thieves Guild quest. I will test that later when I increase my testing PC again. However, buying the book would probably still work with the quest.

This is a nice addition and fits in well with the game. This will definitely stay in my load order.

Thanks again for all your great work and I am so happy I found your mods!

Thanks, kvngreeley! I'm really glad you enjoy the mods I've put out there so far. :)

This mod is OLD (originally released on a now defunct mod site, lol), but I do remember making provisions so that the player could not buy the book from her. Your issue may be stemming from a mod conflict - you could try loading my esp later in your load order so that my changes to Sottilde / South Wall overwrite the other mod's changes.

Thanks for your reply! I am glad to see that you are still active with Morrowind! I will experiment a little more. My testing save doesn't use that many mods, so I can try to avoid conflicts, but I haven't used TESPCD on that smaller list to see what conflicts might exist. I also have seen that some mods add seemingly random things in unexpected places (based on the download page and the readme file) so I never really know what is being added unless I look at the contents of the ESP file for some reason.

But then again, I have a couple of mods like Script Improvements and Patch for Purists that might do something. I will have to check that out.

One of the joys of discovering the wonderful world of mods so late is that most of the mods have been around for a long time, have been downloaded and tested by others, and are in the final versions. The downside is that many of the mods are so old that most mod creators are no longer active. That is why I try to post comments when I test a mod, in the off chance it helps another modding NOOB who comes along. :) And I have learned not to trust comments too. I have skipped over mods because of questionable comments, only to circle back and test them myself and have absolutely no problems.

I wished I had discovered mods years ago, but I guess it isn't too late to learn! Thanks again for your support for the Morrowind community and for being so willing to respond!

Yeah, I haven't tested Patch for Purists myself. I could see that one editing Sottilde in some way. You can send me your load list as well if you want - maybe something will stand out to me.

And you're right that it's never too late! There is still an active modding community (as Nexus' activity shows). And sometimes those old mods have patches if you know where to look. Ever used mlox (https://github.com/mlox/mlox) before? It's a community tool which is helpful at notifying you of newer versions of mods or patches for two conflicting mods. But note that it functions on a static database (i.e. if there has been a patch/release since it was last updated, it won't know about it). Have fun discovering more mods!

Thanks again! I just sent you a message with my load list from MLOX. I use MLOX and Wrye Mash for everything now. It has helped a lot! Happy Holidays!

I hadn't seen this mod before, yay!
I am always happy to see love for the Thieves Guild, and fences are/were needed.
I appreciate this mod, thank you

I'm very glad to hear that! It's certainly one of my less flashy mods, but I find those fences so much more useful now!
