1. DESCRIPTION
===============

This mod converts slave bracers into clothing item instead of illogically a breakable armor item and replaces all instances of the armor versions in the game with the cloth variant. It changes the enchantment of the bracers to better fit what I feel was the intent by replacing the enchantment with a silence, drain willpower 30 points, and restore health 2pts. This effectively eliminates slaves' ability to cast spells far better than the original enchantment, and it drains their willpower and restores their health, both a logical thing that a slave owner would want for their slaves. It should also gives slaves tending farms around the island a bit more durablity so they're less likely to be killed by something.

Included with this mod is the improved mesh based on Better Bodies that was created by Nethellus, as well as the left hand version of the bracers with correct icons from the Left Gloves Addon v2 by Alaisiagae.

Also included are compatability patches for various popular mods to let them work with this mod. Currently there are patches for the the mods: Animated Morrowind, Building up Uvirith's Grave/Building up Uvirith's Legacy, Fligg's Slave Mod, Slave Bracers Revamped, Town of Uvirith, And Twin Lamps. These are compatability patches only and will not do anything for you if you do not also have the mod in question. The change in enchantment in this mod makes the Slave Bracers Revamped mod much more interesting because it's more effective at crippling your ability to use magic.

2. Requirements
===============

The base esp requires only Morrowind. There are separate esps for Tribunal and Bloodmoon, both require the relevant expansions of course, and both require the base esp. Any compatability patches require whichever expansions the mods that they patch require as well as the base esp. Obviously Better Bodies is also required, but it's so ubiquitious, that shouldn't be an issue.

3. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN
========================

Extract the all files to c:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksMorrowindData Files
Enable the Cloth Slave Bracers.esp either with the Morrowind launcher or your favorite mod management program. If you have one or both of the expansions, activate the ESP for them as well. If you have any mods that are known to conflict with this mod for which I have included compatibility patches, listed in section 7 below, enable the relevant patch and make sure that the patch loads after both the original Cloth Slave Bracers esp and the esp for that mod. The compatiblity patches are completely useless if you don't also seperately obtain the mods that they patch.

=====================
4. PLAYING THE PLUGIN
=====================
The items should be changed when you load the game.

===============
5. SAVE GAMES
===============
The base patch will not invalidate save games. You shouldn't have any errors so long as you're not wearing a slave bracer when you load the mod. With the compatiblity patches, be careful. If you've already been to any cells added/edited by those mods, I strongly suggest using a utility such as Wyre Mash to make sure you avoid problems like doubling or any other issues that could come up. If you don't.... well things might get weird and glitchy.

7. CONFLICTS / KNOWN ERRORS
============================
*Due to the nature of this mod, conficts are inevitable. It will conflict with any other mod that edits any vanilla NPC that has slave bracers, any mod that edits the slave script, and any mod that edits the enchantment for slave bracers. And any mod that adds new instances of slave bracers will use the vanilla items instead of these versions (in which case it's impossible to remove the bracers from the NPCs). Compatibility patches should be simple to make.

*I have included compatiblity patches for the following popular mods:
-Animated Morrowind
-Building up Uvirith's Grave/Building up Uvirith's Legacy (should work just the same for both)
-Fligg's Slave Mod
-Slave Bracers Revamped
-Twin Lamps

*Further compatibility patches can be added upon request provided the author of the mod in question allows such a thing. And making a patch is very simple, in the vast majority of cases it is just a matter of the mods using the original armor bracers, this can be easily patched in the Enchanted editor by simple replacing all instances of slave_bracer_left or slave_bracer_right with cloth_slave_bracer_left or cloth_slave_bracer_right.

*Already spawned NPCs will not have the new bracers. This is an unavoidable issue. If this really bothers you, you can solve it with the console and setting the NPC's health to 0 and then resurrecting them. This will respawn them with their correct inventory.

*If you already have the original bracers in your inventory, or stored in a container, or that is still in a shop inventory, or you get them by killing and already-spawned NPC that has them, after you install this mod, they will function like before but will have the new enchantment. This shouldn't be a problem, but there could be issues if you have them equipped when you activate this mod.
