After many, many hours of tracking down missing meshes, I've discovered this to be the cause of at least one of them.

For some reason this mod changes the mesh of the object "de_p_closet_02_empty" from "o\Contain_De_Closet_02.NIF" to the non-existent "Add Art File" mesh.

I'm gonna take this mod and revise it.  I did hear you about taking out the book and weapon rotate mod dependency.  I'm gonna make it Elder Scrolls lore-friendly instead of LOTR.  You're Second in Command or scribe will be a Dunmer with the last name of Rethan (I used the mod Resplendent Rethan - Jewel of the Odai, and I got some ideas from that like the scribes last name being Rethan and him being in the same family as the last owners of Rethan Manor.) Also, everyone who's played Elder Scrolls Online knows that the Vassir-Didanat Ebony Mine is a Rethan property. I'll also clean it with TES plugin tool

Good luck, i'd also advise to keep the amount of edits to balmora and the surrounding areas to a minimum so it's compatible with grass mods and city mods

Good luck. Tried and failed. Might need to be recreated from scratch instead.

As I've noted below, the dependencies need to be removed with Enchanted Editor. I tried doing it with Wrye Mash and it didn't work. Throws an error. No idea why.

This mod should not be used with a clean save. TES3lint shows that vanilla dialogue lines have had their reference numbers changed. Even after cleaning with a few tools there are dozens and dozens of dirty edits to vanilla objects and over 200 cells that have been marked as altered.

I don't know where to even download Weapon or Book rotate. They're not on the Nexus and currently MMH's search is broken (at least on my end
:/) so it seems like this mod is nonfunctioning for me :(

Also, I heard W&B rotate are very outdated. Hopefully someone will make more mods that add to the Hlaalu experience bc this mod just seems outdated.

    Greetings all

Warning for anyone who downloads this mod: for whatever reason, this mod changes the landscape for Balmora itself, which makes it incompatible with any other mod that overhauls the city of Balmora or its surroundings. I got it to work by using Enchanted Editor (first time for me) to delete the LAND files covering Balmora, but who knows if that'll affect anything later in my game.

The great majority of the edits to Balmora are light sources, rocks, and flora, so it should be mostly OK. Watch out for land tears, floaters, and anything buried in the landscape. If you can, keep a copy of the mod without the edits (and make use of Enchanted Editor's Save As function), so that you can easily compare/revert in the event of a problem.

For anyone still looking to play this, please keep in mind that...

    1. It was never actually finished.
    2. It's incompatible with anything that makes changes to Balmora and the surrounding area thanks to (IMO) unnecessary landscape/cell edits. There's likely other incompatibilities as well.
    3. There are lots and lots of dirty edits. Even cleaning with both tes3cmd and testool couldn't remove them all.
    4. You've gotta use Enchanted Editor to remove the Rotate mod dependencies. Wrye Mash won't do the job.

They take up several esp/esm spots and are very dispensable mods.

As of right now the last searchable link to weapons rotate is from Planet TES.... The page was archived but not the download itself.

Is this a hard dependency, can you load without it?

Weapon and book rotate can be found here. you can also find a mod with armor and misc rotation as well.

Honestly I don't know what everyone's complaining about, these mods add zest to a game that unfortunately does not have ragdoll physics, I'm only praying that those hardworking modders at openmw will one day remedy this. Or someone else. Its literally my one complaint of morrowind. but it is something I can do without. I mean its that or I can go play the god awful game that skyrim is. bethesda killed oblivion and skyrim by voice acting, and hard coded engines to make it so that modders couldn't put in a text dialogue format like morrowinds. This inevitably has made it a lot harder to add npcs to the game because of dialogue restrictions. Not everyone can voice act, that was made clear by the vanilla releases of oblivion and skyrim. except for sean bean, but even they killed his character's personality by making him a humble albeit meek monk. And then they quite literally killed his character. He remains in our hearts the eternal living spoiler. I mean i don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't watched the black plague, equilibrium, game of thrones, or goldeneye buuuuut...

      anyways off topic.

you guys should download those mods because they're the closest thing this game is probably going to get to 'physics'.

The Book and Weapon Rotate mods are indeed very much obsolete and should be deleted.

With the developments in MWSE and LUA, there are much better implementations.
Have a look at Perfect Placement:

Morrowind Modding History site stores also version 1.1 of this mod, which hasn't such annoying dependencies of "...Rotate" plugins, but as a downside it lacks some features of version 1.3:
      http://mw.modhistory.com/download-87-11854
Version 1.2 there also has those dependencies, so we can only hope that someday somebody (Lady Galadriel herself or maybe another experienced modder) will manage to compare both versions, 1.3 and 1.1, remove the damned dependencies from version 1.3 (as we have nowadays mentioned here by Zobator Perfect Placement mod, which has much more better functionality and compatibility) or add the lacking features to version 1.1 and release the updated version...

Talking to the lady in the balmora council hall doesn't give me any new dialogue related to being a councilor. Possibly related, I'm the grandmaster.
