    F.A.Q :

    0) Sometimes you can have issues because Steam use the wrong dates for the .bsa of Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon.
    If you have MCP (Morrowind Code Patch) it will redate your BSAs automatically when the patch is applied. This allows replacer mods to work correctly without the work of redating manually.

    1) Whenever I open it, it doesn't matter which data files I ask it to load, but it starts giving me a sea of errors such as "cannot find sound file..." "unable to find Region..." "following string is different for topic...", etc. Any idea what's causing this and how I can fix it?

    SOLUTION: This is because Tribunal and Bloodmoon added dialogues over dialogue of Morrowind. This is a common harmless error reporting.
    Go into your Morrowind.ini file (who's located inside the Morrowind's game folder) and add the line "AllowYesToAll=1" at the end of the General section. Next time you start getting error messages like that, you'll have a new button to push -- 'Yes to All'.
    In the CS, the message window will specify that the 'Cancel' button equals 'Yes to All'.
    This allow you to skip all those 'harmless' errors by clicking "Cancel" (thanks Hollaajith)

    2) When I extracted the files of this fix to the Morrowind ones in the folder SteamApps > Common > Morrowind, nothing happened. Except for the fact that when i tried to install it, it asks me to insert a disc of the game, but i bought it on steam.

    SOLUTION: I was able to fix it by launching the game in the future by using the game's shortcut in it's folder, not opening it from Steam. (thanks Phoenix Risen)


    3) I'm getting a warning. Texture "textures\_default. tga" count 2"

    SOLUTION: Just ignore it, it's nothing to worry about.


    4) Where or how can i get the textures and meshes of Morrowind game?

    SOLUTION: They are contained in the file Morrowind.bsa (Tribunal.bsa and Bloodmoon.bsa for the extensions game files), which you can think of as similar to a .zip file/compressed folder, except that it requires a special program to take them out.

    5) Each time I restart Morrowind all the settings are on default. Viewing distance, controls, difficulty, everything.

    SOLUTION: for the Steam version: you need to disable the Steam Cloud synchronization function (it's used to save your saves online, but don't worry they will be stored as originally intended: in your computer, not online).
    Open your Steam client and navigate to your Library, then right-click on the Morrowind game > select Properties > under the Updates tab, UNCHECK the box next to "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind". (thanks xxjmoxx)


    6) Every time I edit the Gameplay > Settings > fEncumbrancestrmult . Every statistics in game gets the letter "s" in front of it?

    SOLUTION: You need to make sure Morrowind.esm is loaded (to the Data Files selection window, when opening the Construction Set, make sure Morrowind.esm is checked (cross in front of it)).
    Then edit any Gameplay settings you want. (thanks Andrew0001)

    How do I overwrite an .esp file? It says it is a master file or is in use. An .esp is not a master file and well yeah, it's in use since, since I'm trying to edit it.

      This still doesn't work?
      If you are trying to load a mod in the CS and that you have errors it can be due to others things.
      Like the wrong dates for the .bsa of Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon.

    As of right now I cannot click to select any object placed within a cell. I can highlight select.
    The issue seems to only effect the one cell I was modifying(Great Bazaar in this case).

    I tried reinstalling the CS with no luck. Any ideas?

    edit: I check all the references in the cell and noticed that one reference had some crazy z coords and deleting this reference fixed the issue.
    The coords for the reference were somehow moved to -0, 0, 29108148371231878000000000000000

    I had lost the old original version of this and when I downloaded this, the search bars are removed from were they were before, I would be trying to drag and drops items to either the floor, or a container and my mouse will suddenly hit mok 10 to the right of the screen 70% of the time while highlighting everything that is on the list, it will not matter what I'm doing, it just keeps happening no matter what I do to avoid it. some texture and mesh files will not show up in this set at all when it's showing in my hard drive. It does work pretty well with OpenMW though, just buggy trying to use this

    Does this work with openmw? 

    I have created a massive mod with lore friendly enchanted items on over 100 npcs. Plus collectable and unique items but I cannot get my mods to work on omw.

    I'm sorry I'm probably stupid, but I can't make it work. When I open it, it's empty. 
    I see that I must open up the master file menu for selecting et loading data files, but this menu is empty too. 
    Someone can help me ? 
    Maybe it's explained somewhere but I don't relly speak english so I didn't find it.

      Having the same issue, can't select files on the master file menu.

      Edit: I'm an idiot and somehow extracted the whole thing into my data files instead of into the morrowind directory. This might be other people's problem as well... It's where we're conditioned to put things.
