You can now report bugs by using the "bugs" tab above.

    Troubleshooting:

    Scenario 1
I've got a warning telling me that "One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on".

Ignore the warning. It's not something that will break your game in any way.

    Scenario 2
NPCs and statics are doubled. Doubling can be caused by a variety of reasons. Here are the two most common ones:

You are running two different versions of Morrowind Rebirth at the same time.
You are running an old save-game. You will need to repair your save-game using Wrye Mash. Follow the steps in ”5.4.1 How to update your save-game to a new version using Wrye Mash”.

    Scenario 3
I'm unable to access " Data Files" on the start-up menu.

Try to remove a few letters from the esp/esm names.
Make sure you are running the Morrowind exe as an "admin".

    Scenario 4
Trunks, logs etc. in the Bitter Coast Region are "white" and doesn't have any textures.

Remove 'flora_bc_knee_01' to 'flora_bc_knee_04' and 'flora_bc_log_01' to 'flora_bc_log_02', which all can be found in Morrowind/Data Files/Meshes/f.

    Scenario 5
I'm seeing a ton of floating root-meshes in the West Gash Region.

It's likely that you're using a tree replacer that overwrites the files included in the Morrowind Rebirth archive. Because of this you will have to replace the root meshes with "empty" meshes. To do this you have to download the following mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/30669/? and pick "Vurt’s Leafy West Gash v10a". When you've downloaded the file open up the archive and copy 'vurt_flora_root_wg_01' to 'vurt_flora_root_wg_08', then paste these into Morrowind/Meshes/f.

Make the balancing aspects of this mod optional or selectable similar to MCP and it's a good mod. Otherwise, just can use it.

Some aspects will be optional but some can't be made optional due to being interconnected.

Mod is very well done and is pretty seamless from what I saw, put about 20+ hours into it. It was like re-learning how to play Morrowind again. I uninstalled because I'm too used to original. Almost 16 years it was almost like culture shock haha. Endorsed!

The grass is off the ground, most likely from the editing of the map, I believe morrowind graphics and sound overhaul added the grass, is there anything I can do to fix this besides removing the overhaul or reinstalling it?

You can disable grass, but I'm unsure how to do it. In any case I do not recommend MGSO. It's outdated and doesn't work well with MR.

Turns out I could disable the grass with MSGO options. Thanks for your assistance.

I'm doing a full reinstall of my morrowind, used to run it with this mod (4.0) and mgso, but since the two doesnt quite love eachother, i decided to do it all manually, and now i'm at the whole patch problem.
I know i'm gonna need the Code Patch, but what about the Morrowind Patch Project? is that neccesary? or how about the Patch for Purists, i am not sure wich one, if i even need one with rebirth.

You only need the Morrowind Patch Project edit that comes with Rebirth.

Hello, I really like what this mod does to the main game the new cities look amazing but I have a small issue regarding Dagoth Urs Citadel: I seems to have glitched into Red Mountain and I can´t reach it and when coe ing to it doesn´t seem to work either. So I had to remove it for the time being, I have no other landscape mods which alter Red Mountain or Ghostgate the only Mod I have which are set in this area are Great House Dagoth and Julan.

You say that you have no mods altering that area, but Great House Dagoth does. It conflicts heavily with Rebirth. Remove it and the issues will go away :-)

Oh okay thank you, is there a way to make these to mods compatible? Oh and dumb question would the Sixth House conflict as well?

No idea tbh. Both mods touches a lot of areas. As for the other mod I'm not sure which one you are refering to. Please post a link if possible.

http://mw.modhistory.com/download-56-1401 The Sixth House is similar to GDH in that it allows you to join Dagoth Ur.

Absolutely in awe of this mod. Loving it. One quick question - are the windmills supposed to be animated? They don't seem to on my install.

      Glad you like it!

No they are not supposed to be animated. I could include support for animation, but it would require time I dont have atm.

      Cheers.

Hello. I've Installed this mod alongside MGSO, which I installed sucessfully, but everytime I try to run both of these mods at the same time I get several of the the following errors "TES3Stream Warning: Model "Meshes\f\Flora_BC_Knee_03.NIF" tex not found "textures\vurt_bitterbark.dds"!
    Texture Load Error!: textures\vurt_bitterbark.dds"
Its has been quite stressfull since I want to play morrowing with mgso and your mod combined. Can you please lend me a hand? I understand there have been people who shared this experience, but the links i've acessed are presently offline.

Considering MGSO is a compilation, I would advise disabling plugins until you stop getting errors, and selectively reactivate those plugins until you can pinpoint the problem mods.

      Hi

Follow the steps in scenario 4 in the pinned posted above. That should fix the issues.

    Morrowind Rebirth is awesome.

For those who want grass in Morrowind Rebirth, here is a little tutorial and some links to get it so it's not floating!

Grass for Morrowind Rebirth, updated, works with Rebirth 4.6:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43016

The Ashlands grass file is out of date and will cause floating grass, so do not use it. I posted a request to have it updated in the forum, but who knows? Mod Artists have their own lives, so I'm just really happy he made grass that works with 4.6.

You will need to take the textures and meshes from Vurts most recent groundcover mod:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/31051/

Based on my research, Vurts Solstheim Grasses from that groundcover mod, and Vurts Corals (from the same files download page) are fully compatible, as Rebirth supposedly did not alter the Solstheim landscape, probably because there were less jarring terrain transitions to fix.

So for grass generation in MGEXE, I use mesh size 50, and density 17. Larger mesh sizes create giant grass, and more density puts it in odd places, like right in front of peoples front doors.(!? who wouldn't pull those weeds, I mean come on!) With these settings it actually looks great and fits really well into the landscape.

(If anyone is interested I can also post a little guide on what mesh and texture mods, installed in what order, work and look best with Rebirth as well. With five mesh/texture mods installed in the proper order, I pretty much perfected my game world's look.)

Great find. I think your post would make for a good article, if Johan's up to it.

Now we just need a patch for Windows Glow.

Hi, I've got a strange problem and can't seem to sort it (i'm not new to modding).

I don't have the movement speed increase that should come from the settings, everything else seems to be working.

I'm only using the other mods off your 2 recommended lists, nothing else.
I don't get any warnings and TESTool isn't reporting any conflicts.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
