so far i really like the this mod, however i'm having a game breaking issue with the scaling of books and scrolls.
not really an issue for those that don't like to read the books/ or steal them but in my case i do both.

textures not loading, i can live with but game breaking glitches kinda ruin the whole experience.

does any one know a fix for this? (please don't tell me to avoid books and scrolls)

This is fantastic. Please update it to make it even better.
In my opinion EVERY game here on nexus needs a modpack like this to save us hours and hours of downloading individual mods just to appease and asslick the crybaby modders. You get credit for your mod even if its included in a pack like this ffs. Just dont be babies and insist people download mods ONE BY ONE.

I agree. It was really easy and now I',m playing this game for the first time and it looks great! It really bummed me down because i played first Skyrim and Oblivion, but I really liked more the gameplay of this one but with the graphics redone it is gorgeus!

Really? Your installer requires Admin. privilidges blindly with no explanation? Needs UAC to be disabled, again with no explanation?? Is detected as a virus by even basic antivirus?? Takes control of mouse and keyboard while it runs??? DUDES, how is this still on the nexus?? Every warning of malware is written all over this. Besides that, I tried it on a VM anyway, and it runs like CRAP. Just about every mod included is outdated and most of the time broken.

    Seriously, dont bother guys.

Been using this mod for years just fine, you ran it on a VM ... well duh of course it will run like crap. If the mods included with this are broken most of the time then that means YOU didn't configure this mod correctly as a whole or some error happened during install. Did you even try reinstalling ? The whole point of this mod is for people to get Morrowind setup nicely with minimal know-how or for people that can't be bothered with manually setting everything up. The automated install wouldn't even be possible without UAC disabled and having admin privileges.

Only issues with Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds And Graphics is a missing door ref and some texture errors and maybe others that I haven't encountered, community made patches for these have been available for a long time.

To conclude, don't run this on a VM. The mod is perfectly usable in 2018 with a community patch or two.

Even tho this guy is banned (for whatever reason) I agree with him. I also would never trust anything like this. Just too many questions marks. How do you know its not installing a trojan or mining malware when its running with full admin privilidges? You really don't.And doing a scan afterwards is not quite the same. Rootkits would not be detected by then. I cannot trust this

I don't understand why people keep recommending this mod, is buggy because is outdated, MGE XE exists, there is Morrowind Acoustic Overhaul "MAO" (which has some bugs yes but if you are lucky they are minor ones). Probably i'm missing something....

why so negative? also all graphic mods like mge xe are a waste of time to support they are remaking MW in a new engine and the beta is almost here so yeah...

The bugs for this were fixed ages ago via community patches, search for 'mgso' .

I don't know how anyone could not like this mod. It installs effortlessly. You have a lot of options. It puts tons of essential mods into making Morrowind a whole new experience. I don't know of another mod that overhauls the graphics, sounds and ambiance like this does. Especially without having to manually install 30+ mods for hours yourself.

I really wish there were some constructive responses that could help people figure out certain glitches though.

Couldn't agree more. I love this game and want some graphical upgrades. Every time I try to use the S.T.E.P. guide, I run into a bunch of issues and cannot find solutions. Plus it takes hours.

It's doing the same thing you described, but I noticed in the installation process that there is always a fatal error during the Distant Lands automated process and I have to go in and start doing things manually until the automation starts up again. Then, on the very last step, there are like 14 warnings and it just skips over them. Installation complete like there was never a problem. I want to just uninstall everything, restart the installation, and skip over MGE so I can download the newest version on my own, but I don't really know how to do that without breaking something. It might just be best to start from scratch and download all the mods independently. I'm like brand new at this, which is why I got this mod, so I could just play the game without cringing, but it's a bit of a pain.

I wonder if someone could help me troubleshoot? I've gone through and run the automated MGE set up a few times, but Distant Lands doesn't seem to be working correctly. At first I thought the new Tamriel Rebuilt wasn't working. But it's because nothing is showing up in the distance. As you move forward, things are slowly appearing. I thought this was something to do with TR. But there is fog obscuring all the vanilla lands too.

Any ideas what needs tweaking? Thanks!

The auto MGE set up keeps messing up on the distant lands part for me too. I don't know what to do to fix it.

The program doesn't have viruses. It's not controlling your computer and running rampant through your files. It simply operates the installation program at times. You can always take back control. MSGO is honestly the best mod of all time. It gives you a whole new Morrowind to play. And it does it with the least amount of fuss, for people that find installation of dozens of major mods very difficult.

I realized that this mod is bundled with Morrowind Graphics Extender XE (MGE XE), but is one version *behind* the most recent version. To get features like the UI scaling that are present in MGE XE v 0.10, I had to disable MGSO's installation of it (which is 0.9) and install MGE XE separately.

I wanted to give others a heads up on that for others - I was tearing my hair out until I looked at the version number of the MGE XE.exe file that's added through MGSO.
