Alternative Melee Missiles mimics Scruggs\' without requiring MWSE. One of Tanar Llevi\'s new staves to throw fireballs, lightning bolts, etc.

Here's another old mod from 2005. It's a reimplementation of Scruggs's Melee Missiles that doesn't require the Morrowind Script Extender.Now you can simply swing a staff to use it's cast-on-strike enchantment to cast fireballs, frost blasts, lightning bolts, and other targeted enchantments.
Tanar Llervi in the Ald-ruhn Guild of Mages has a selection of staves for you to buy. Four are already enchanted and four others can be enchanted by the player. (The staves restock, so you can by multiple copies of each if you like.)
Warning: Whenever you have one of the staves readied there will be a very tiny, invisible creature nearby that acts as a target. So even when all of the visible NPCs and creatures are out of striking range, swinging the staff will still hit the target and cast an enchantment. The enchantment will shoot past the target and strike whoever or whatever is in front of you. Even your companions will be upset if you manage to hit them with the spell effect.
