Ashlander Name: Kura Durzulani (shorter form: Kura-Zula)
Race: Nede(Niben) / Timeless(???)
Birthsign: Lady(prime sign) / Warrior(return sign) /
Steed(third sign)
Age: Physically young adult, but appeals much older than that due to mental experiences/memories.
Personality: Gentle, thoughtful, sultry, compelling at times. Emotionless most of the time though breakdown happens, sometimes scary
(conditional moral insensitivity). Like an iceberg in the Red Mountain.

Class: Theurgist/Ritemaster/Agent (more caster than fighter, but more Spellsword/Nightblade than Battlemage)
Specialization: Magic
Major: Acrobatics, Blades, Security, all the Magic schools including mostly notable Soul Magic (Enchant)
Misc Skills: ChIM(#lv4)/TEND(???), thu'um(before), Psijic Temporal Mastery(before), Funnel Magic (Soul Cairn)
Other Feats: Immune to Diseases, Resist to Sound, Summon Durnehviir, speaks native Dunmeris

#:If Talos or Vivec's CHIM skill were Lv5(⊙), Dagoth Ur -∞, then Merethid only has 4 or less. Though she's backed-up by Nerevar(ium).(⊥)

Actually, just the CHIM 'knowledge' skill, you can't experience it because Player Characters are a Hero/Prisoner in the Monomyth, not an NPC.
Indeed you can 'modify' the game via modding but you can't manipulate things as if you have magical power in reality like an insider, as an outsider.
However, some(mostly RPers) may argue that headcanon imagination shall be boundless. It really depends on 'how you play' the game.

Ex-Role: Last Arch-Mage of the Mages Guild, Arcane University.
Current Role: Nerevarine (w/o 'the'), Vvarden of Morrowind (outlander title, given by ????)
Alias: Silvar Twilight (crew leader), Drowsy (pet name by Jiub), *Weeping Muthsera (honorary insult from Camonna Tong), Windchaser (used in Solstheim/Skyrim)
Non-Canonical Affiliation: The Witches Alliance, Imperial Geography Society and its branches, Foresters Guild (MT+TG)

Was...
Associated with:
Kynareth, Azura, Vivec
Nemesis: Dagoth Ur, King of Worms, Vivec
Love Interest: Levinston (Sheogorath mantled)

Family... (all deceased)
Holgeir & Rae Wind-Chaser (adoptive parents)
Rub-His-Scales (brother)
Wax-Her-Scales (sister)
Raj'zhan (brother)

*Fun Fact: "Weeping Muthsera" is a new teasy alias come from the first time she finally heard the classic insult "You n'wah" again in Morrowind. Everything felt so real she cried out-of-control.

First of all, the naming.

Meredith was a neutral name, also often means "lord" which's very suitable for Morrowind Prophecies. (Of course I didn't know that from the start.) ((Same mentality applies to Birthsigns.))

It was picked because Merethic Era (Era of Myths or Era of Mer) exists! Kidding, but also having some seriousness in it since her race/origin used to be all the way from an ancient time. The name happened to be resonant with the word "Nerevar/Nerevarine" as well, so I absolutely felt quite contented taking the name.

However, too many Merediths around emerged everywhere nonstop since last decade, that had made the name no longer unique to my Nerevarine. So this time I decide to rename her but just slightly, in order to identify such a returning iconic figure, in and out of character.

In addition, 'Mereth' also could mean elven(mer's) realm. It stacks an extra layer of meaning into the name.

---
The Ashlander name interests you? I appreciate the lore and community. Very few got a name they deserve.

Well, as a matter of fact not entirely ashlander's, we players don't really understand the language. There are also Dunmeris and thu'um or even real-world tongues mixed in to make it sound nicer. I'm no expert but I think it's cool to have a pretty one.

What it means? Forgive me for keeping it under my warm fur helm of the Colovian(I think it's TES equivalent of red herring) for now, since it could unfold lots of secrets.

------
Race or raceless...? It's complicated.

The race topic is merely pseudo if you know what I mean. Simply put, it's just human. Not mer, not beastfolk, not daedra. One amongst very ancient human beings. The clan she belongs arguably being (relatively) isolated for millenniums. (And destroyed. It was of a small society of Nedes influenced by certain same hidden Ayleids, aka Wild Elves. Some time back in the 2nd Era, under the table. Bending into the larger Nedes of Niben fork, in culture. Not really living fossil or primal/pure bloodline, maybe single-threaded, but their mothers never stray too far from inner circle.) It was once staged by me that she also has 1/4 Redguard(as it was my 2nd choice) blood plus 1/8 Breton's or 1/8 Ayleid's, but we don't really need another Breton, or any overrated half race(very unfavorable), so I ditched all the hybrid background very long ago to make it simpler. Now, we just don't know, exactly what the Prophecies said.

Despite of fact her appearance looks like a slightly shorter Nord with darker hair, and literally adopted (by Nord couple in her first 10s) as one. She is not a Nord, though very likely at first sight. I played the game as a Nord (*how NPCs recognize your PC) before making a custom race in TES IV, and her faces used to be modded from Nord heads.

*Fun Fact again: In my current game (Merethid) the MW engine and NPCs still see her as a Nord even her race "Timeless" is a custom one. I have no idea but can live with that. Better than void. :D

The mystery around her race had been set in stone that way even before Oblivion hit the store, only that the canonical race name "Nede" being formalized many years after. (Was only mentioned as "Nedic peoples" in Morrowind.)

A shame I never played Daggerfall before, while astonished by Breton's origin, the medieval culture had became too generic for me (been an Ultima fan long enough) at that time, with or without elven influence. I was not very fond of imperial Imperials, allergic to all elves, orcs, and furries. Argonians too weird and too hard for rookie(?) roleplayers. That meant only two choices left, Redguards or Nords, both are great warrior options. I chose the later at first in order to (somewhat) re-create from a much older character template before MW: there was an arcane-archer living among companions, able to take advantage of ice magic, and whose father was literally a tough, fierce, drunken nordic/germanic type. However, most Nords are typical blonde with blue eyes (but sometimes Redguards too!) that was kinda over-used at that time, then I asked myself: why not make up my own race to stay out of standard appearances? After all that would be another lengthy story, to put it short: been as a Nord into the game long enough, someday I finally found "Nedics" perfectly fitting for her.

True, you surely can say that she's easily classified into Imperials(modern Nedes) category by historic or biological consideration, just without their cultural significance. A phylogenist would say otherwise, and an anthropologist may disagree utterly. Ironically, if you look upon that (headcanon TESV) she was even able to somehow absorb dragon souls 200 years later in the previous timeline, the whole issue will become even more complicated. Seriously, was she a descendant of Atmoran settled Nedes(Nord batch?) or from rather native Tamriel? Or maybe a distant relative to Wulf? Like I said, the whole argument was pseudo af, not that important to determine. This is TES, you can never have ONE truth.

Will you often question about Tiber Septim's race? No. All you care is his title and what it means: first Emperor of the Third Era who conquered the whole Tamriel.

Most people call her a Nord, from future to past, does that convince her that she is indeed a Nord? Or hybrid? A mutant? An alien out of this world?
What about the inner her? Does Merethid subconsciously think herself is a mer actually? Was the name a coincidence? Is she really from some elven bloodline?
Could she pretend to be an Argonian as well (like some Orc->Khajiit) since she had lived in Black Marsh for solid years with Saxhleel brothers and sisters?

She was WHO SHE IS. Just like how the protagonist see themselves freely fit in Morrowind Prophecies. You decide.

That's why as a stranger she can fulfilledly be an true Incarnate.

The Birthsigns,

It was a much simpler choice. Just because I like that at first sight. I was also surprised it has been a rather popular choice of all time, whatever the reasons could be. Game-y choice such as no negative effect? Perhaps.

But if you want a satisfying answer, for RP's sake: her prototype was a knightly mounted archer, capable of casting a spell or two to support her group. She started as a warrior, and I hate skimpy bikini babydoll nonsense.

As for the secondary sign, the story of Morrowind begins on 16 Last Seed (Day 1) with certain alignment, this re-seed/reset/rebirth date hints obviously she will have Warrior in spirit.

The Abilities.

Could write an essay about them as ego-feeding as her biography, but I don't want to treat my headcanon as public notion like a fetishist in the name of sharing. So I'll keep it to myself for now. Not unless someone asks about roleplaying tips or lore questions around it.

However, I should share my recent in-game character sheet here: (always in progress, as usual)

Revamped for CCCP currently, 2023:

And yes, in the 'past' the changing('rage level') of her eyes(turned purple) and dark hair(turned grey) used to be a special perk thanks to the Corprus (to unleash the contained power of divine 'curse'). But this time it may will go differently from her previous life. If everything goes with the plan. I try not to portrait Merethid as an anime character who Mary-Sued too much. (And to save the effort coloring her hairs every once in a while.) Sticking to Ash(Black) for now.

======
Background:

(This beginning was supposedly for vanilla MW 20 earth years ago, as Meredith the former later Nerevarine & demigod & godkiller)

She was adopted by her parents, both Nordic, were traveling merchants around the Niben. The orphan was found with certain birthsign "the Lady", therefore they raised her as one, until the age of twelve. The Nord couple, Holgeir and Rae, both got killed/diseased in Black Marsh(Argonia), leaving the daughter struggled for her very early life in this vast swampland unknown. Rub-His-Scales, a somehow "educated" and natural master acrobat, rescued the girl, together with the friendly tribe they taught her their secrets to survive the hostile environment. And then, years later the teen turned into a woman, left for western human towns alone when the tribe being attacked by other more "savage" tribes(#). From that day she became homeless again, as an outlander for so long she hardly blended herself into the people back in Cyrodiil. Maimed a couple of badguys who tried to hurt the seemingly helpless damsel in self-defence, and was accused of murder by the imperial law, taken into custody and imprisoned in IC.

(#: "Educated" and "savage" or whatnot are merely western/imperial opinions, the lizard folk might be much more "harmonic" to Nirn and closer to what the Earthbones/Ehlnofey were supposed to be than any mer or men. Though some may argue the otherwise about the existence of Hist.)

There she met fellow prisoner Jiub, a Dunmer of wild stories back in Morrowind and other places. On their attempts to escape and little ventures thereafter trying to help the innocent, the guards caught them again... where she and Jiub became best friends.

"Wake up, we're here. Why are you shaking? Are you ok? Wake up."

So the (previous) story began...

(Morrowind Main Plots...)

(Years later...)
Self-exiled as promised. As an outlander. As the Arch-mage.

(Decades later...)
Without Nerevarine at all... Morrowind suffered greatly... Many, many familiar faces were killed... :'-(

(Centuries later...)
Woken up. Met the Last, but their ways crossed very briefly.

And there was no salvation in Skyrim, aka Mereth, or Falmereth... only decadence.

(Aeons later, or eternity......)
