And hey, that demora is equal opportunity! He told my male character off lol
There are a few reasons he should be "relieved" from this eternal torment given by the Temple/Vivec:
- Though he IS evil to Tamrielians, it's his nature. He can't really choose to be nice(or bad) like a mortal.
- Once the power binding him fades away, he surely will revenge and brutally hurt all the people around and more.
- He has been punished enough. Time to let him go (or perish).
Being very strongly bound (such as Anhaedra's case) may sometimes be a great blessing to the daedra themselves. They might feel extremely secured that way instead of fear, if they acknowledge the bonds could last forever. Like becoming an immortal(kinda) as a human. Though their true feelings could be still a mystery, and again when the bond vanished he might hurt a lot more people.
You have to choose and accept the consequences.
The moral of the case is we shouldn't use our own human nature or moral system to judge their kind.
That would be both ignorant and arrogant.
1. The first step is to understand (that "evil" is their nature)
2. The second is not to judge too quickly (is it really a curse or blessing?)
Just my 2 new cents along with recent thoughts associating to my next MW writing project (Dagoth Ur!)
