Backpacks that display the camping gear in your inventory were one of the coolest parts of Skyrim's Frostfall, and I finally got around to adding this feature to my own survival mod, Ashfall.


It all came together when I found the Bloodmoon textures a_bear_chest and a_bear2_chest. These are amazingly high resolution textures for vanilla, the only textures larger than these are the sky textures and a few other Bloodmoon creature textures. They also have a lot of detail that are perfect for backpacks, including straps, buckles, leather plates (which I used for the pockets), and a whole lot of fur. I'm really happy with the end result, and the addition of backpacks feels like a major step towards Ashfall being ready for a Nexus release.
