Definitely one of my least liked armors you've shown, but it's not just the problem of implementation - the concept is also kinda lacking in my opinion. It is overtly Japanese, and looks more like an old school anime villain IMO.
I guess, with some adjustments, like you show here, it could be made more Morrowind-esque, but I would definitely not buy it as Ebony armor. Maybe some hard black insect shell for the Dres nobles. All the spikes make it feel more organic, rather than metallic/volcanic as the original Ebony, plus all the white patterns clash with vanilla's gold quite a lot.
I think that Skywind's concept art is much stronger for the native Ebony armor, especially the bug patterns on the chest and the pauldrons are very cool and unlike other armors - https://i.imgur.com/Qgd1ZMv.jpg
I also love this concept art for Beyond Skyrim, I feel like something like this would be more vanilla-like, similar to your native Adamantium armor - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3KN2J
Hope you don't take this criticism closely, I think that both you and the concept artist are very talented, and I'm really happy to see people creating content like this for Morrowind, when I know how hard it can be to port it into the game, but I do feel like this set is a bit misguided and could be something greater, at least that's my personal opinion.
