About this image

It was getting dark. Rain was starting to fall and not even my Colovian fur helm could keep me warm. After a short walk, I managed to find a clearing underneath a mushroom tree which provided decent shelter. So I chopped some firewood, laid out my bedroll and made camp.

The one benefit of rain is that you don't have to go searching for fresh water. I pulled a bottle from my pack, went out and filled it with rainwater, and filled up the cooking pot I had placed over the fire. I added some crab meat and mushrooms for a nice stew. While that was boiling, I put some of the ash yam and kwama cuttle I'd gathered earlier onto the grill. I made sure to keep a low heat to avoid it getting burnt.

After dinner, I tossed a few more logs on the fire and settled into my bedroll. I heard thunder in the distance. I was starting to regret not buying that tent back in Pelagiad.

Ashfall is a camping, survival and needs mod. It features new skills, a fully integrated GUI, hunger, thirst and rest needs mechanics, temperature/weather mechanics, new diseases, items and crafting. https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49057

Someone recommended this mod to try out for a survival playthrough of Morrowind.  Unfortunately, the discord links in chat are either broken or no longer viable for people to use to get more information.  I found an Ashfall website but it seems more like a multiplayer server info page.  If anyone can provide more information I would greatly appreciate that, thank you.

Try this one, I don't know why they keep breaking, I explicitly set them to never expire.

Don't grab it off github, download the zip from #ashfall pinned posts in the Modding Community Discord https://discord.gg/nKnq7e

And yes, it is currently stable and fully playable.

I can't wait for this to be released. Currently watching Danae play with this on youtube. Great work so far! Hopefully, will it be finished this year!?!

The latest Alpha release of Ashfall, including the new cooking/campfire mechanics, is available in the Morrowind Modding Community Discord, pinned to the #ashfall channel. It's fully playable but it's still missing a few mechanics and you might encounter the odd bug. If you want the full experience it might be worth holding out a bit longer until the official release.
