About this image

This is by far my favourite area in TR.  The Grey Meadows region is west of Vvardenfell's Bitter Coast. It is so unique, the lighting is so well manufactured (even better now with my new FX settings) and it is where I come to to take my ash baths :) The only thing missing here are some ash spiders!

I didn't get into the Elder Scrolls until Skyrim, and some of these shots and the mod make me want to give it a try.

I started with Oblivion and played it for 6 years straight almost everyday. Then one day I was driving and saw a table on the side of the road with a woman and baby. They were selling things like a mini garage sale outside of their building. As I drove away something told me to go and look and so I did. There I found under the clutter a mint condition copy of Morrowind GOTY in the box with all the documentation and maps. I bought it for 10$. Everybody always said that Morrowind was the better game and so I gave it a try. It is not even close. It is amazing. The story is like a novel and what you are playing in Skyrim is actually a remake of the Morrowind DLC Bloodmoon. Morrowind is so good that it spawned Oblivion and Skyrim and ESO. Everything in these games is from Morrowind. In fact Oblivion and Skyrim are basically remakes of Morrowind. Now just to warn you Morrowind is an old game running a very old engine. It requires that you update every single thing in the game so in order to get your game to look like this is not as easy as plug and play but it can be done. If you know Skyrim then you must know of the STEP guide. They have a new guide for Morrowind. I suggest you check it out. I am not using it here but I have reviewed it and it looked complete. I recommend this guide over using MGSO 3.0 which many will point you to a quick update and it is a quick update but it is also a very old mod and all the utility mods will have to be updated. The time it takes to do that properly you might as well spend the time and follow the STEP guide. Morrowind by far is the best game in the series. However I look forward to Skywind

      Thanks for posting.

      Thanks for the advice

I've considered waiting for Skywind, but then I would not be able to compare it to the original game. If the quality is as good as Enderal, then it will be very worth it.

Don't wait for Skywind because it won't be the same game at all. There is no levitation in Skyrim and in Morowind as a Telvanni wizard levitation is a must. And there are other things that won't be exactly the same.

I can also bet that most of the hard core morrowinders won't even play Skywind and they will remain purists. I will try it out but Skywind can be years away from being released. You can right now play Morrowblivion which is Morrowind on the Oblivion engine but I have never bothered. Morrowind is kinda good as it is and with The Symphony it is great.

Personally I don't recommend that your first playthrough be with the Symphony because it is not fully translated from Russian yet and many quests have been altered to the point that The Symphony is a different game. I recommend following the STEP guide and tracking my mods and pictures so when I release my How To Get ReShade Working With Morrowind Guide. I do however recommend installing Tamriel Rebuilt. It may be the longest working mod in history as they started making it before Morrowind was even released!

I started this again, but I gave up quickly... I get killed easily, and every time I try to hit something I always miss... just can't hit anything... I guess its because my skill is too low.
Used graphic extender of course, everything looks so much better, but it is just too difficult for me to play this... oh well, maybe next time I'll try harder.
    Fantastic shot btw

Ya you can't hit anything hahahaha that is how all the old games were back then. By the time you reach level 7 you can hit everything and by level 10 you are super strong. You gave up too quickly. There are mods out there that fix that and bring it to modern game style.

Ya it is working well here. Now all I have to do is figure out how to deal with the dark spots... we're working on it
