Well.. I have figured out how to convert images correctly to TGA files. So, I'm slowly working on putting together a pack of Splash Screens which I will eventually release when I have enough that I feel are high enough quality, and I've spent time in Mournhold and Solstheim.
I can't mod, but it's at least something I can do to give back, after all the enjoyment the work of modders has provided me. They won't , of course, be to everyone's taste, and who knows, even how much people will be interested, but so it goes.
A bit unrelated.. but it's funny, whenever I come back to Morrowind...as soon as I step off the boat, see the mist enshrouded foliage of the Bitter Coast, and hear the haunting, mournful call of the silt strider... it always feels like coming home. For some reason, this time it has been even more intense than previous occasions; I'm not really sure why that it.
You take to much in to concideration. You do well, continue to do well! Here is a simple one for you - my post # 4000!!! Good night - sleep tight (that's for me I guess you have some more hours to go on) :-)
@PikachunoTM, Well, the Splash pack will be a bit... because I want to include images from both expansions as well, and I am not there yet. Plus, it will be a while before I have enough screenshots that will make the cut. But, I really want to do this, it should be fun. OK, I am not, in any shape or form, a modder.. and I have no idea at all how to use DX1, dds compression... But, if you know of a good tutorial, I'd certainly check into it. I did just take a look around, but nothing much came up.
It is not celebration-day, it's more like a beautiful nr. if one is inteested in that? Pika started my inner braincells which reminded how to do the "screens". If you use Gimp, simply open your screenshot, export, choose; Compression BC1/DXT1, Default No mipmaps OK
Damn... I experimented with Paint.net, Gimp and irfranview.. In the end, I was able to figure out how to correctly convert to the right type of TGAs with Irfranview.. I found the other two pretty complicated. Still, I can work on it and see what I come up with. If I managed to do it with Irfranview, I should be able to figure out Gimp, eventually.

I would recommend using DX1, dds compression for your images, however, as it lessens the size of the file considerably, without loss of quality.
Beautiful regardless, though!
