In my playthrough of the game I noticed a few small, recurring annoyances that just make the game harder or weirder than it needs to be.   This doesn't fit with the initial "sensible weapons and armour" shtick and was mostly for my own use,  but I'm sharing it here if you'd like to make use of it. 

  • Reduce cliffracer spawn chance from 25% to 1%.  This won’t remove cliffracers as there are a lot of static spawns, but should stop almost all instances of
    having more than 1 chasing you.

  • Made holders of legendary artifacts stronger. Generally the people that hold artifacts like the Staff of Hasedoki, Staff of Magnus, Warlock’s Ring, Bloodworm Helm,  Vampiric Ring, etc have gotten 5-10 levels stronger and gained points in their core weapon/magic and armour skill.  In vanilla it's usually possible to kill magic users before they hit you with more than 1-2 spells, so I have focused on increasing their health, luck/agility and armour skill to make them more survivable.
  • Buffed Sjoring Hard-Heart and Lorbumol gro-aglakh with higher skill levels and gear that better suits their position.  Previously they were worse than the Duke’s guard, and not qualified for their own rank in the Guild (!!) yet they are supposedly some of the best fighters in morrowind.
  • Buffed escort quest target health and speed/athletics.  Quest targets gain +50-100 base health (depending on how remote they are) and I've set their speed to at least 70 and athletics to at least 40.  You’re still welcome to console speed and athletics to 100 if you like, but this should provide a more pleasant base experience, and allow a little more flexibility/room for mistakes without breaking the game or making the quests a cinch. 
    Not every escort quest gains this boon!  Some, like Larienna Macrina & Tenyeminwe, can look after themselves and others, like Rabinna, would be too powerful for all outcomes of their quests to work.  Yet others, I simply haven’t discovered in the list of quests yet to give the ability to.   

  • Added a buff called “questguide” to some “non-combatant” individuals that are the target of Escort quests.  The hitbox, pathing & AI for escorts in the game is pretty broken and it’s easy – especially late game – to kill your escortee in one hit.  You thought the tip of your spear was the size of a fingertip?  WRONG, it is as wide as an advancing Mack truck.  This ability should make escortees a lot more hardy without allowing you to be careless.

    Questguide gives constant effect 2pts health and fatigue regeneration, as well as 30 pts sanctuary, +30 health, 30% spell absorbption, and +30 points to their unarmored skill.  Overall, the effect should make them 30% harder to hit, take a decent chunk less damage when hit, and pretty much guarantee no more one-hit kills from anything other than the most powerful enchantments.

    Combatants = anyone competent at fighting. So Larienna Macrina (fighters guild) won’t get it, but Reeh-Jah (argonian slave) will.
