I have no idea why this rock is still floating since the tribunal is dead. Who's keeping it there? Here's an idea for a mod; After the Tribunal is dead this prison should fall and smash into the side of the temple and in the water. Is there an explanation as to how this thing is still floating after their deaths?
After the ' Hero ' destroyed the heart of lorkhan the tribunal slowly started to lose their powers <this caused the events of tribunal> , mages managed to create a machine that keept the rock there for some time but needed a sacrifice as fuel , finally people stopped sacrificing themselves and the rock fell onto morrowind which caused the eruption of the volcano - which is why there are so many dark elfs in Skyrim .
