Guiding Lands' battle theme seems unchanged, though everything else works including the unique monster themes. Is that intended?

The files for Seliana town are in bgm_slugger_ingame.npck. Unfortunately, it's mixed in with lots of MHW:IB monster battle themes, which means no easy way to just keep the town music without the rest.

Perhaps this mod might work better for you?

So I was motivated to find something like this after playing World again and being a bit dissatisfied with the generic battle music in the ancient forest, and this music pack looks quite good, but I don't think I want to replace the themes of any of the elders like Xenojiiva. I assume I just have to delete the corresponding files? I'm not sure what those are however. Thanks for making this mod btw.

I see, the files are packs aren't they? I supposed I'd need to edit the files myself?

Thanks for your interest in the mod! Here's a quick solution, though it's not perfect.

The file that has Ancient Forest is bgm_ingame_pg.npck. Go ahead and delete the other bgm npck files from the mod. That file is batched up with a few other BGMs including Astera town and the main menu theme, but most other battles are in the files you can safely delete.

bgm_ingame_cmn.nbnk contains edited loop point data for all BGMs. I recommend deleting that file as well, just be aware you might get some jumps in the BGMs that you kept.

I hope the modder is still active, but this mod broke with 15.20 update.
i absolutely love this mod and others haven't been able to do what this one does.

i hope the modder can help to fix this. Thanks

It's working again after updating Stracker's Loader. Happy hunting!

Works great with Classic Monster Hunter SFX Pack, although I prefer Nostalgia Music Replacement's Intro music as plays the hype inducing part of the song lol. This mod just loops the slow part of it which is alot chiller.  Asteria Town isn't Pokke though, assuming due to the 2023 Winter Event.

EDIT: Asteria is now set to Bherna Town, due to the seasonal event!
The "quest complete" only loops for 30-20 seconds, cuts for 5, and loops again.
Uninstalled due to the quest complete cutting out and small monsters triggering music changes, went with Classic Monster Hunter Quest Clear Theme!

Wow, great to see MHW going strong and thanks for finding this mod and giving it a try.

My best guess is that the file that contains the modified loop points might be overwritten by another mod you have installed. Check if bgm_ingame_cmn.nbnk from this mod is intact in your installation's nativePc\sound\wwise\Windows\ folder

Hope this helps and have a great hunt!

Best mod ever, appreciate it so much!
Is it possible to get a version without music playing for the small monsters?
I really don't like music playing with small monsters.

Thanks for using the mod. I'm sorry I don't do requests, but I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
Head on to the MHW discord #audio-help and ask how to replace a track with silence. It's a very helpful channel with good pinned resources on modding.

You could just offer a version that doesn't add any 'small monster' encounter music. Monster Hunter games have never included this mechanic, so I'm really not sure why it's here in this mod anyway

Is there any way to make it so it just changes the astera/seliana music? I'm so sick of hearing the shara ishvalda invasion music all the time.

The discord #audio-help channel is a good place to find audio modding information and ask for help. Manual loop point editing can be difficult for hunts so in many cases I found it easier to edit the audio file to fit the existing loop. There seem to be scripts that make this easier now, perhaps those with experience on the channel can give pointers.
