Why all this and who is this mod for:

In my personal opinion, the base game is way too easy, especially low and high rank. Even more so if you have already finished the game once. This mod basically is for guys like me, who´d like some sort of NEW GAME +,  as Souls-Like Games have.

I consider this mod balanced, I´ve played it through and loved the new difficulty curve, if you find this too difficult, well, it´s not for everyone. I highly recommend not rushing through this game. Take your time and grind better equipment throughout every rank. Consider the new low rank as difficult as the base master rank.

If u end up liking the mod, consider endorsing it. I´d appreciate it.

READ BEFORE PLAYING:

Within the nativePC I´ve included a save file containing a completely blank character that has finished all of Iceborne.
This character has nothing, no investigations, no armor, no items no nothing. The only thing he has is all canteen ingredients, almost every single mantle, and access to Seliana obviously. Playing with that character allows you to choose your own path throughout low, high, and master rank without having to do all that grind for ingredients and mantles again.

You can implement that save file into one of your character slots using MHWSaveTransfer, change his appearance with MHWAppearanceEditor or you can just copy the save file into

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOURSTEAMID\582010\remote

- Always make backups

Most important changes:

Of all the changes I´ve made, the two biggest and most important are the following:

- drastic increase in damage taken by all large monsters in all ranks ( except for Fatalis and Alatreon )

--> stronger monsters even in low and high rank are not pushovers with bad armor any longer

- massive changes in armor regarding skill placement in all ranks

--> each piece has more and better skills, almost any set is now playable, especially in master rank, where each set mostly               contains all the mandatory skills that each weapon uses

- tempered elder drakes in master rank are a bit too strong atm, I´ll have them tested for a bit longer and a patch will nerf them soon

Difficulty Example:

Low-rank:
With the starting armor set Diablos or Rathalos will almost if not one-shot you. You absolutely need to grind armor providing better skills and defense stats in order to progress. Each defense stat point makes all the difference. As your defense and skills get better you will obviously no longer get one shot ( not even close )

Weapon changes:

I have changed the elemental values and some sharpness levels of longsword and charge blade in order to make the elemental playstyle viable for both weapons. An excel sheet with all the weapon changes is provided within the nativePC. If you don't like it, delete the files correlating to the changes
Basically, I have chosen two to four monsters for each element, I sorted these monsters according to their difficulty level and balanced the weapon stats around that.

Example:

Fire Element Longsword tree:

Anja least strong longsword
Rathalos stronger longsword
Teostra even stronger longsword
Alatreon strongest fire elemental longsword

Other weapons:

Since my friends and myself only play these two weapons I did not do this for every single weapon. This would result in way too much work. If this mod gets enough attention, I might do it.

Installation:

extract the files out of the archive with your program of choice and drag the nativePC into your Monser Hunter World Folder in steam/steamapps/common/Monster Hunter World
