    IF YOU HAVE COME HERE TO SAY THE MOD IS CHEATING, OR THAT THE WEAPON DOESN'T NEED A BUFF, DON'T BOTHER.

    You can't say anything that will disprove all the TA data that shows how lance gets the slowest times. slower than weapons that bring utility, like stuns, easy mounting, buffs, or being naturally better for support builds. are you going to say  the TA runners, the best lance players there is are bad at the weapon? or are you gonna cry about it being a cheat, in a coop game? in anyway you will not change my opinion that the lance needs a buff and i wont remove this mod. so don't waste your time.

    I usually do not comment, but I wanted to adress you a few words.
    MHW was my first MH game and I am playing with lance only since the beginning of my adventure. I understood fast enought why it was the weapon with the lowest pick rate, but despite some of its heavy drawbacks, I managed to defeat all monsters solo until Fatalis.

    Fatalis is a good exemple. He is the ultimate challenge of MHW but there is a deadlier ennemy: time. 
    Staying alive while managing to keep the agression to kill it in time really was a challenge. Beating it wasn't enought, you have to beat it in time. I killed it my first time using the mod which make the quest 50min. I tried again with your mod and had a clean run of 25min (using canons, dragonators ectc.. but without cheap tactics).

    Your mod isn"t broken in any way, it does actually balance the weapon. With it I dealt enought damage to break head in time, and go throught the fight in a clean way. It was pleasant, really. It adds the funniest part with lance which is the double speed on the lance charge to gas gas gas everything in the way.

    Really good mod, seems like what lance should've been since the beginning. No OP numbers. Just balanced. What you need as a lance player. I'll continue to play with it throughtout my adventures in MHW.

    Hi MRVOLKBR!
    First of all, I would like to thank you for making this mod!
    It might only be a basic adjustment, but your Mods greatly enhanced my lancing experience throughout the past 200 hunts!

    3 Thrust Combo MV adjustment felt just right, it's not too much yet still strong enough to feel good.
    And shafting major combo from 3 Thrusts -> Finishing Thrust to Counter-Thrust -> Thrust II -> Thrust III just felt right at home for me.
    But the most important of all, the strengthened Guard Threshold is extremely effective!
    I don't know the exact value you added but I think it's not too much. Usually just reduced many Heavy Knockback attacks for Guard 5 into only Medium Knockback.
    It might seem like a small change at first, or maybe it really was your bright idea, but being only Medium Knockback allows me to use some moves like Guard Shot and Guard Dash to specifically block hits since those 2 moves have no Medium Knockback animations.
    This results in me utilizing more Guarding alternatives against some specific monster attacks such as using Guard Dash into Fatalis' Sweeping Flamethrower attacks!

    That being said, I'm one of the Lancer who already utilize Leaping Thrust and Jumping Thrust a lot even when Lancing without any Mods.
    So I kinda find the extra Mount Damage moved from Jumping Thrust to Leaping Thrust works rather unreliable at times.
    For example: I always use Leaping Thrust to gap-close any monster that's slightly too far to reach by Shield Attack but not far enough to use Dash Attack.
    The move still works perfectly fine as a gap-closer with your rework mod, but sometimes it accidentally triggers a Mounting Attack when I don't want it.
    Another example: when a monster flinches into drooling animation.
    It's enough to use Leaping Thrust -> Thrust II (Mid or High) -> and L2+R3 Switch Mode to Clutch Claw to re-apply Wounds on monsters.
    Accidentally triggering Mounting Attack here is rather inconvenient since it wastes free Clutch Claw Attacks opportunity for me and other hunter friends in my hunt.

    On the other hand, I consistently integrate Mounting Attack into one of my playstyles via Jumping Thrust before using your Mods. 
    I usually use it as a quick reaction to prevent monsters from escaping to other areas.
    It works especially well, and when I go on a hunt with my friends they even often designate me with this task specifically.
    However, the reduced 15 Mount Damage is enough to make this strategy unreliable.
    Combine with the fact that if I already trigger the 1st Mounting Attack via Leaping Thrust accidentally, it's not worth the effort trying to pull the 2nd Mount Attack via nerfed Jumping Thrust.

    So... if this isn't too much, I would like to ask for an optional file that restores Mount Damage between those 2 moves.
    (Leaping Thrust back to 0 Mount Damage, and Jumping Thrust back to 55 Mount Damage)

    I tried using MHW Editor to change those 2 numbers specifically, but I couldn't wrap my head around the collision files even with the help of MHW Editor Wiki.
    It's okay if you are unable to accept my request, your Mods already have been an amazing lance experience for me and I'll continue to happily use it!

    Oh and one last thing, I don't know if you will also make a similar Lance Rework Mods for MHRise or not but if you planned for one then I'm interested in using it too!

    If it's not too much trouble, could you explain how you learned to mod MHW? I want to make my own lance mod since all the existing ones change too much. I just want to give the poke combos protection from hard knockdown like other weapons' combos and if possible make it so that allies cannot trigger counter.

      well, iam no coder or anything, i just started looking at other's modders files and saw that they where editing em with the monster hunter editor.

      so basically i just change values.. also iam pretty sure any weapons that dont have guardpoints in their moves will get interrupted by monster attacks..

      or are you talking about the counter not going off when used against heavy hitting attacks? that would be cool to chagne but iam not sure how.

      I'm talking about the innate Flinch Free 3 that weapons get during combos. For example, when you are doing switchaxe combos, you cannot be knocked down by your allies doing big attacks like greatsword true charge slash. Lance, however, does not have this combo protection. If you do the poke combos at the same monster part as a greatsword user, they will down you down nonstop. Of course, it is not just an issue with greatsword, about half of the 11 weapons will knock down a lance user.

    will there be an update for the this wonderful Lance mod after the last update drop? im new to the mods, so if the december update is here, will the mod still work? or the creator of the mod must update it as well?

      i really dont understand how the movie patch fucked up the lance files, but oh well.

      NOW it is fixed. you can use it with no problems.

      I have download the mod and the Stracker's Loader, still it don;t work, it just crash the game when on loading, is the other having the same bug? I have used this mod back on November before the movie update, installed once and it work right away now it just wont let me play

      hmm, thats weird, so it was working perfectly before installing only my mod? 

      if so i suggest you clear you mod directory (nativepc) , and then just install again strackerloader and this mod.  just to make sure its not something else messing with it

      because i just tested it with a clean install and is working perfectly

      it work's now. my mistake for not download this https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/3473 first, following an outdated mod guide is not a good move. thanks a lot for the Lance mod man, you make Lance what it should have been on mhwIceborne.

    First of all, gg for this mod, the lance needed a damage buff. BUT, as already mentioned in the posts, the charge attack deals way too much status effect (and probably elemental too, didn't tried yet) : I tried one of my old builds where I had like 830 explosion using safi weapon+5 pieces armor and apothecary mantle. The explosion triggered almost every hit during the rush, doing an insane dps (weak master rank monsters killed within few seconds). I didn't tried this thing on Shara but bless his poor soul if people use this bomb stick. Maybe you should try to lower that value (by a lot).

      yeah. i totally agree, i checked thje numbers and they where way off of what was mentioned in the info lol

      iam working on updating it, coz the last patch broke the mod.

      i was messing with the block data to see what i could do... maybe i did that and didnt notice lol

      but now that you mention it... i feel like it shouldnt block from behind? thats clearly the only exposed side on that guard... maybe i'll keep like that and make the power guard better at blocking...

    This mod is awesome made me fall in love with lance all over again the train of death is amazing and so fun hearing all does damage ticks. thank you!
