The mod was an unbalanced mess initially. Decided to make heavy changes to shift focus towards entertaining the player and not grueling '1 hit = dead' difficulty.
Summary:
Allows the game to be fun and engaging but retaining a sense of challenge.
What's fun? - Using more powerful weapons to quickly fell your foes. Having a Palico that can lay the smackdown on monsters. Reducing the time it takes to travel back and forth through the hub.
What's challenging? - Having a more vulnerable character whose life depends on preparation. Carefully considering your financial decisions in a stiff economy.
- Mod designed primarily for a fresh character though it works for everyone.
Detailed Changes: (Subject to change and improve, very much a work in progress)
Hunter Rebalanced:
- Max health (HP) and stamina (ST) = 200 (250 with items). Initial HP and ST = 80/50.
- Potions/Megapotions = 50/100 heal and Nutrients/Meganutrients = 25/50 +Max HP.
- Meals = 2x +Max HP effects.
- Invincibility frames and distance increased on dodges.
- Runs twice as fast in hub town.
Battles Adjusted:
- Major adjustments for all weapons.
- Palico weapons damage increased to put them on the level of actual players.
- Weapons, armor and items see higher prices in the early game.
