About this mod

Kulve Taroth custom quests with custom rewards.

Permissions and credits
***Requires Stracker's Loader to load custom quests***

Changelog:
v1.0 (Apr 29 2020): • Initial release.

You hate siege quests? And time limited event quests? So do I!
Recreation of the MR KT event quest with original rewards, plus a 2nd CQ with custom AT KT siege rewards.
The purpose of these CQs is to avoid having to do the High Rank KT siege, and offer a clean and safe way of getting the siege exclusive weapons/materials.
Look under the MR6★★★★★★ optional quests category to find these custom quests.

Quest file recreated from scratch to work as a Custom Quest

[CQ] tag for Custom Quest.
[TREASURE ICON] tag for the CQ with custom rewards. The CQ without the icon has the original quest rewards.
• Same exact stats and multiplayer scaling as the original MR KT event quest (except for the Gajalakas, can't confirm their real stats so they have the same stats as in the AT KT siege).
• This CQ is permanent, and will always show up on the quest board (assuming Stracker's Loader is updated and working).
• Self contained CQ; does not affect the original MR KT event quest or the original AT KT siege quest.

Custom rewards with 5 guaranteed KT Golden Glimstone + 1 KT Emperor Nugget

Red and yellow outlined rewards are the default normal, unmodified KT rewards. Red rewards are normal KT item drops. Yellow for part breaks.
Green and blue outlined rewards are the added modified rewards. The % stat weight is shown on the right.
5 guaranteed Kulve Taroth Golden Glimstone + 1 Kulve Taroth Emperor Nugget per KT kill. Guaranteed items will only show up once per kill for that given reward pool, and they always show up in the first square.
• This means that you are guaranteed 10 KT sublimated/incandescent weapons (trade the 5xKulve Taroth Golden Glimstones at the melder for the 10x weapons) and 1 Kulve Taroth Emperor Nugget (for layered armor) for each KT kill. Trade the Glimstones one at a time, as they are worth 200 points and the alchemy menu caps at 300 points.
To unlock the Kulve/Kjarr Alchemy at the Elder Melder, you need to have completed the official MR KT event quest at least once. If you missed it, you have to wait until Capcom makes it available officially again. Alternatively, you can still use this mod to amass some KT Golden Glimstones, which you can then dump it all into weapons once you can unlock the Kulve/Kjarr Alchemy.
• Rewards percentages for sub rewards were based on existing drop rates. KT Golden Nuggets adjusted from 10% > 6% to make space for Bushi Tickets, which is the same 18% drop rate as bronze square siege rewards. Bushi Tickets are used for layered armor.
• Each reward pool, not including part breaks, will have between 4-8 squares worth of rewards per KT kill (normal quest rewards behavior). 8 squares per pool is guaranteed if you use a Lucky Voucher before the quest.

Slightly more useful supply box

• Top box are temporary supply items that disappears after the quest ends.
• Bottom box are ammo and ammo crafting materials. Optimized for pierce gunner builds.
• All items on the supply box will show up regardless of player count.
• Item count were calculated based on max carry amount, times 2 for 2 potential trips taken with a farcaster to switch elemental weapons, times 4 for a potential full group. [(Carry amount x 2) x 4] = Total amount.

Known bugs (that I can't fix until Capcom gives access to the real quest file)
• Map zone 1 will have the icons from the AT KT siege quest. Some icons overlap each other.
• The first quest dialogue with Field Team Leader at the beginning of the quest does not show up. The rest of them seems to work correctly.
• Last room battle music does not end properly, and will overlap with the KT quest victory theme. Music corrects itself once you are at the quest rewards screen.
• The game will crash if you time out/let KT leave the area by not dealing enough damage. The only way to avoid this crash is to grab onto a wedge beetle in zone #2 and stay in the air. Pay attention to the "Kulve Taroth will leave the locale soon." notification to know when to do this. If you can clear the quest without timing out (gitgud), you won't have any issues.

FAQ

Show
Q: Can you adjust [x] or [y] to be more balanced?
A: No. Nexusmods has all the tools available so you can make further changes yourself if you're not satisfied.

Q: Can you adjust/modify the timer/damage check that makes KT leave the area so soon?
A: Impossible. The files responsible for those are FSM script files. No one has mapped those out and no one has any idea how the f*** they work. It's unlikely that someone will figure those out anytime soon so don't hold your breath.
There's plenty of sub-10 minute youtube videos for most weapons so just do more damage and play better. Don't make a post about how you can't solo it. No one cares.

Q: Does this work in multiplayer/with other people?
A: Assuming Stracker's Loader is working and everyone involved has downloaded the mod: yes.

Q: When will the KT siege/event be available again?
